Dr. Gill is the best vet 7/28/2011

Dr. Gill is the best vet we have ever used for our pets. more

My family and I have been with Dr. Gill for some time now. 6/3/2011

My family and I have been with Dr. Gill for some time now. Probably more than 10 years. He's pretty much the man to call when my mother Paula Wood needs a second opinion on things about animals. He was also there when my cat Predicament needed pain killers for his bum leg that just couldn't be fixed. He also has the time to get to know and owner's animals very well if given the chance to. He's known all our animals every since we've brought them home. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats total, and he knows them all. I plan on getting my maiden 2 & 1/2 yr old dog ReiRei fixed by him due to since he has been so helpful with our pets in the past, I'm sure my dog will be in good hands once I go and get her spayed. Don't know why people have given him such bad reviews. Probably because they didn't get instantaneous results like most people expected. Or it's just they weren't taking the advice Dr. Gill was giving due to it either crimped their style or they saw it as too much work on their part. Or when they thought he was being mean, he was actually being bluntly honest, Dr. Gill won't sugar coat the truth like most Vets do. But everyone likes to point the finger at someone when the real culprit is in the mirror. I know I'm at fault for some of my dog's misbehavior, but at least 'm trying to improve on that, slowly. And she's improving a little at a time due to; hey she's still a pup to a certain extent. What do I expect? So overall, excellent vet. And to the people, who have given bad reviews, please reflect upon your past actions when it comes up to your pets before pointing the finger of "sole blame" at someone else. more

I highly recommend!!! 5/17/2011

I have had a 9 year old dog insured through Banfield his entire life, and although they claimed I saved thousands over his lifetime, I never realized how much money I threw away until I got my second dog and decided to go a different route with her vet visits. I vaccinated her through the SNYP program and brought her to Dr. Gill (30mi away from home!) for everything else (spay, kidney/UTI infection, extensive bloodwork, x-rays, hernia... you name it!). I live on a very tight budget, but with Dr. Gill you have nothing to worry about. Just for a sake of comparison: X-rays were about $35 ($90+ elsewhere), spay+meds $114 ($250+ elsewhere), antibiotics + liver meds $12 ($30+ elsewhere), hernia surgery $40 ($200 elsewhere), prescription food $22 ($36 elsewhere)...... oh what a relief! This is one big caring heart and a doc who is really not in it for the money! I highly recommend!!! more

compassionate people. 4/25/2011

I dont normally post a review, but I just had to this time. A few days ago our little dog was diagnosed with having pyometra, we took her to see a vet at Hurst Animal Clinic and we were so disappointed in dealing with the office manager; he was so pushy and didnt really seem to care about our decision. I do have to say that the vet Dr. Daryl Williams was very patient and nice, this was a deal breaker because of the manager. All he seemed to care about was closing a deal. Immediately the next morning I phoned Broadway Animal Clinic and scheduled an appointment with Yvonne for our puppy to have emergency surgery. As soon as I walked in I felt relieved to know that this was a REAL animal clinic with compassionate people. The Dr. came out immediately accompanied by his staff and took her in to begin surgery. If anyone is looking for a genuine Dr for your pet, you must not hesitate and call Dr. Gill and his staff. Thank you for helping our puppy Bella live. more

I cant believe how wonder full this place is!!! 4/13/2011

I cant believe how wonder full this place is!!! When doc puts someone to sleep it is sad, i asked why does he use the needle to the hart? some times the dogs vain is to small and it can take longer to go sleep doing it directly to the hart is fast and painless rather then waiting the process of it going through the vain. He does have a vet tech working after hrs if their are animals in the clinic, she calls him to tell him whats going on. I think they are very honest and caring. I never had a problem. Thank you Doc. Gill, Yvonne, and Anna!!!!! more

I remember 2 times he really consoled us 3/28/2011

I remember 2 times he really consoled us. We had a little dog named Seigie part malamute/Rat Terrier, happy go lucky guy. He got out one day play in back yard with all our dogs. Wrestling, running and it started to rain. I was in tub. Jumped out threw cloths on and ran to back door. They all came in at once covered in mud. Got all in cleaned and bath no big deal. Seigie got it first because of his short legs he was the dirtiest. After that he started breathing hard. I rushed him to vet. Dr, Gill said blood tests. Well while we were gone he called. Seigie passed away during tests. It happens. I left him there to do a autopsy found out a parasite in muddy water got in his lungs. Nothing could have saved him. He saved my other dogs. I got them more shots and cleaned up the standing water after it rained.Made sure dogs stayed inside while it was raining. We had Gold Retriever/ Shepard mix name Sarah Ann. She needed up with Spinal problem. One leg went out then that night the other. I called hubby home and made the call to put her down. Dr, Grill told me he could help her live longer. I saw in her eyes she was suffering. He said it's your call. I held her for a few minutes and said okay let her go. He gently gave her the shot and she was gone. He hugged me and said she in a better place now. I cried all the way home so did Hubby. We had her 7 long years. Got a card in mail from Dr. Gill that week. Made us feel we did the right thing in letting her go. Don't put a man down that has that much compassion. more

I can call that nice man on the phone 3/23/2011

As far as I'm concerned Dr. Gill is a old school awsome vet. I can call that nice man on the phone and ask him questions of my pets. I give him symptoms of the animal, what I'm seeing and hearing. Sometimes it's juts been simple things I missed as a animal person. He knows I don't normally miss a thing unless I'm just to stressed to think. He will calm you down to think straight. He treated many of my animals just over the phone. When a family animal does have to be put down he not only tells you the truth but, even being busy takes the time out to console you. When gets time out of his busy day sends a condolence card. more
