I had my taxes prepared (late -- I filed an extension) by Mark Middlesworth on the recommendation of a collegue. I had about an hour-long interview with Mark about my current tax situation and various questions on my future needs.
He took about a week and sent me the forms. He did a decent job, he didn't seem to ask me as many questions to optimize my deductions as my previous CPA, but he seemed to do a good job. There was a small slipup with filing my state return (I recently relocated from Illinois), but nothing too bad, I just had to file manually instead of e-filing.
The price was reasonable, though probably on the higher end. If you need a good CPA (not just someone to do a simple tax return), Mark is a good guy.
