Although, I am not an official Duck, but I am a Duck. Why? Well you have access to so many wonderful summer school class, which open up access to many new resources. Plus, you do not even need to take a class to have access to the Knight Library (yes, everyone can check out books!). The UofO is a wonderful institution to have in our community.

The Lesson Factory offers a high-tech, high-touch environment for youth, whether they are sampling a new instrument or an aspiring musician. Having been married to a musician of 25 years and hearing the horror stories of "back room" lessons, the open window, EMP-style environment is appealing for parents. Like any savvy shopper, I suggest you interview/try-out teachers to ensure the best fit. As a mother of four with various interest in music, I guarantee that LF wants to ensure you have the best experience possible. You might find a better price, or perhaps you don't care that your child is taking lessons from some friend who learned by ear... I challenge you to find a better all-around package with real-life opportunities. LF does it right!

The treatment a new mother receives at Sacred Heart is phenomenal. Having all three of my babies there was great. I wouldn't do anything different. The nurses treated me like a special guest and taught me things about new babies that a new mother would need to know.

When the new Federal Courthouse is completed, the Shedd Institute will no longer be located at the edge of the Eugene downtown center, but along what the community hopes will be a strong new business corridor. The Shedd is housed in an old church and recent upgrades include a welcome air conditioning system.
The Shedd is a venue that allows world-class artists a quality performance location that is smaller than the nearby Hult Center. Recent performance schedules included Rickie Lee Jones, Chick Corea, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Philip Glass, Kathy Mattea, Judy Collins, and The Chieftans.
The Shedd is also home to OFAM - Oregon Festival of American Music. This a long-time, highlighted event in Eugene that draws thousands of attendees each year.

I attended the UO for 4 years and would definitely recommend it to any prospective student. I was a journalism major and that dept is one of the best in the country. The campus is beautiful--lots of old buildings and huge pine trees. In-state tuition is also very affordable.

This facility is located adjacent to the Sheldon High School. They share the same parking lot. The community center is centered around the pool that has both a lap pool and a deep diving pool with diving board. The locker rooms are functional and clean. The cost for swimming is minimal and there are many open swims.
