I like Everett's because I can go at late hours after work to pick up prescriptions. It is also independent of a store, so you don't have to walk into a major outlet or chain store to just visit the pharmacy which can be a hassle sometimes. I've never had a problem with them not carrying my item so they are reliable. And it is a good location on Coburg with plenty of adequate parking.

Hiron's is a real Eugene conversation piece. The stores are packed with thousands of items, floor to ceiling (no kidding, here!)
The 18th Avenue location (next to Safeway) is a treasure trove of ornaments, stickers, gift items and all the usual drug store paraphernalia. If you need Tums or tampons, they've got those -- along with toothpaste and candy and bandaids. There's even a drive-through perscription pick-up area. The second store, on Franklin Blvd (near the UofO and next to PC Market of Choice) is more organized, but probably has just as many items.
The holiday season is thrilling at Hirons -- try to go several times, and especially check the after holiday sales. They carry varied and unusual items to trim a Christmas tree or toast in the New Year. Lots of affordable stocking stuffers along with some spendy gifts to exchange. In recent years, there are dozens of Halloween decorations for sale, and they keep things really fresh throughout the year. This is a great spot to check for birthday gifts for co-workers and friends.
Look for their hidden away "clearance" areas. These are great for bargain shoppers -- but check the condition before you buy. And, being close to UofO, there are generally lots of "Go Ducks" items.
Good spot for calendars & cards -- they also have fun bath stuff. The jewelry selection at 18th can be a nice surprize -- sometimes there are really wonderful, affordable things on display.

My husband and my daughter go to Dr. Byfield and he takes such good care of them. We have never had to wait more than 20 minutes to get in to see him. I feel like my questions are answered fully and honestly. No question is a dumb question!

I take my children to see Dr. Wong at the PeaceHealth clinic on Coburg. I like how she handles mine and my children's needs. She takes the time to hear your questions and concerns and always relates well to my kids. All four of my children see her and I highly recommend her. The staff is also so kind and helpful. I always get in to see her quick when I make an appointment which is nice. If your'e looking for a great pediatric doctor, check into PeaceHealth on Coburg Rd. and see Dr.Wong.

With locations in the University district, on West 11th and by Sheldon High School, you will find many or most people in Eugene know Rainbow Optics for a great selection of eye-wear products and good service.
The University branch shares space with their Sun & Sports division. Lots of choices for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, along with some of their edgier frames. You'll find everyone from kids to the elderly in the shop.
The employees who work with clients to select frames give honest critiques and make helpful recommendations about styles. They are used to billing insurance, and working with medical reimbursement (flex) plans. Service falls to the side of overdelivering -- my experience has been that I'm told things will take a week but I'm delighted to get my new glasses in much less time!

I love Meg Hamilton. I work in a medical laboratory, so I was able to talk to her before seeing her as a patient. Her attention to patient care and finding the best up to date information and care for her patients put me at ease, especially for women and their gyn annuals. She has researched extensively in trying to make the experience quick and painless. I felt very at ease talking to her.

Sigh, I love the Pearl Day Spa. It's very Eugene-y in that it's located in a converted house, has marmoleum (environmentally-friendly!) flooring, funky waiting room seating, and it just feels sort of earthy and natural. However, they've not traded professionalism for this earthy vibe. The staff is very knowledgeable and more-than-competent. If you've wanted to try out something new, like a body wrap or hot stone massage, but feel a little intimidated in a trendier and slick spa, this might be a good fit for you.

Hirons is more of a toy/craft store than a drug store. They have 2 locations in Eugene. They offer items such as Halloween costumes, tools, makeup, and Christmas decorations. Their prices are sometimes high because they are an all-in-one store. It is independently owned, so it has a nice personal touch. I like their domestic items, such as wind chimes and cute lamps. Go there for dorm items too.

More
I came to this site to get information on the ratings for orthopedists in town, and instead what I found was a tirade that had nothing to do with the physician's expertise as a medical practitioner, but rather his parenting skills, since his son had allegedly committed a crime. This is totally useless, and probably slanderous. I don't know the doctor, but I find this type of entry offensive and tasteless.
