I have been going to Sitwell's for years. It's not for the coffee or the food, both of which are pretty average. I like the atmosphere. Especially in the evening. If you are a smoker who also loves coffee...look no further in the evenings. There are a few computers around, books aplenty. Staff is very friendly, especially if you are a regular.

Take the cake has a non-descript front entrance and one might just simply pass right by. However, you are missing out on some of the best cakes in Cincinnati if you don't put this on your list of "good eats". The cakes and other delectables that are made and sold on premise. Be sure to call about hours or make an appointment if you want to have a special cake made. Take the cake desserts are also sold at a number of restaurants in the city.

Bavarian Bagels (pretzel bagels) are a specialty of the house. If you make a trip to Servattis be sure to pick up a few. They look like a bagel shaped pretzel but the taste is anything but ordinary. Order a giant pretzel with the beer cheese to serve at your next party, it will be gone in no time at all. Their tortes are fresh and yummy (and even come in individual sizes). Pastries are made fresh daily. Custom cakes are a little on the expensive side, but good none the less. Some locations serve deli sandwiches and lunches.

Having lived in Hyde Park for several years, the Graeter's location on Erie Avenue was the one I patronized the most. Just a short walk from my apartment, it was a perfect place to go get a sweet treat, particularly in the summertime. The chip flavors are the absolute best - large irregular hunks of dark, creamy chocolate! The sorbets are excellent as well, particularly the peach one, which is only in season for a short time around July/August. Graeter's locations also have bakery goods - from cakes and cookies to homemade candies. Indulge your sweet tooth!

One of the best bakeries in town. They specialize in party cakes but have a great selection of other items. Their cakes are really works of art, you can check them on the website. Designed to be decorated with flowers there are a number of themes, styles and occasions. They deliver and are open on the weekends. You can also schedule a tasting session where they will offer a whole bunch of samples - I was so full, I had to take a box!

They sell breads, cakes, pastries, donuts, candies, everything! The have strange hours; they close really early. Everything is delicous and the staff is always very polite and very helpful. Make sure you try the apple danish. MY favorite!

This Starbucks location is well run, with friendly servers, clean environment, and a nice area to just sit and enjoy your drink. It's fun to see what new promotional drinks they are serving at the time, like the Green Tea Frappucino I had the last time I was there. Yummy!

Whenever friends of mine throw a wedding or bridal shower, they order cakes and pastries from the Bonbonerie. And then we sit around for an hour afterward, mmm and ahhhing over how good they taste. The creations that come out of this pastry shop are so pretty, first of all, you won't want to actually eat them! But when you do, the taste will be creamy and light, and rich, and wonderful, and you'll wonder how many hours you'll need to spend on the treadmill the next day as you head for that second helping. The prices are of course, much higher than grocery store bakeries, but this is high-end stuff and so worth it!

I cant believe, how I missed this place until now, though I have been living in cincinnati for over 2 years. Highlights about Rohs Street Cafe:
- Serves Far Trade Coffee for rather cheap prices (no middle man in coffee puchases)
- non profit cafe, where all the employees are volunteers except a couple of them
- the local church owns the building
- ideal place to work on ur lap tops, or read books etc
- all the profits are goven to childrens charity
- beautiful homely setting
- free parking available
- very close to University of Cincinnati Campus
- very close to some of the local restaurents, so we can have a bite in there and have some coffee here.
- has live music during weeks(has a cover charge to enter which is just $2.00)
I think I have talked more than enough, so all u need to do is have a cup of coffee and feel the place.
cheers,
priyatham

Ok – My mouth is watering just writing this review – they are (in my humble opinion) the bakery that all bakeries in Cincinnati are judged against. The doughnuts and pastries are just the beginning; they offer many unique cultural items such as: Irish Soda Bread, German Chocolate Wedges, Challah, Ruglach, Danish, Baklava, French Cinnamon Coffeecake, Strudel, Napoleons, French Bread, Hamataschen, Hot Cross Buns, Tiramisu, Cannoli’s, Mexican Wedding Cookies, even Scones.
But my personal favorite is the Bavarian Bagel sandwich, which is an oversized, overstuffed (with what ever deli meats that you want) pretzel flavored bagel. I can’t remember the last time I took a bus to Keeneland without one
With over nine locations to chose from they are only minutes from almost everyone and probably on your way to work – stop by tomorrow morning and make your coworkers very happy!
