You'll feel like an honored guest before you even set foot in the place. Attendants will swing the heavy front door open for you and immediately the host/hostess will greet you. They have, I believe, 5 separate themed dining rooms for you to enjoy and make each visit a unique one. On my most recent visit, my party enjoyed the civil war room. 1789 is an old schooler that, with the help of chef Ris LaCoste, has managed to keep up with the hipper restaurants of a new generation.
