They pride themselves on the quality of their food, not on quick fast food. You may wait awhile for the food, but it is so worth it!

The Spar cafe is a place all the locals of Olympia call home. With its smoky atmosphere and the sounds of laughter of the patrons, it feels a lot like spending time with relatives from out of town. The food is very well done and the Spar burger is a delight. The wait staff are attentive and quick. It truly feels like home away from home.

The Filling Station is a great place to get your daily or weekly fix of caffeine. The ladies that work there always have a ready smile and a bright attitude. After a few visits they not only knew what I ordered, but called me by name. The coffee is perfection with just the right blend and the perfect temperature. They even serve it with a chocolate covered espresso bean. A place you must visit in downtown Olympia.

The offer a variety of movies, even having independent documentaries from time to time. Their midnight showing, of high anticipated hits, are well received. Their concession stand is first rate with prices that won't break a family. Their kids pack and hot dogs are must haves!

The shows seem unrehearsed and the stage set up are confusing. The shows are usually only run for a weekend at a time. I feel that the theater is a work in progress.

Toscano's Italian Restaurant is the ideal family restaurant. The have a great menu with lots of variety for even picky eaters. The food is hot and fresh, and the wait staff friendly. Lunch and dinner specials are frequent, as well as coupons in the local paper. Probably the best part of this restaurant is that kids eat free! Well worth a visit.

Cascade Mini golf is a wonderful place for families. My young kids loved playing mini golf in these easy holes. Adults may be a little bored by the easy course and little decorations, but kids love it! The price of a game is reasonable and birthday parties are offered. Wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
