the title pretty much sums it up - they always have good food but the service is often just ok. i've run into very snotty hostesses and waitstaff there, and i'm *really* not into the 'our restaurant is so pretentious that we can treat the customers badly' scene. i stick to take-out when i want food from chinoise.
i think their sushi is ok, but i've had much better. once or twice it was on the chewy side, and i don't like every piece of sushi adorned with scallions. good cali rolls, and they have good lunch specials.
their mu shu is great! heaping mounds of fresh veggies with your chioce of meat, and very tasty.
