I'm at an absolute loss to understand *any* of the negative reviews. Riva's is an absolute gem--inexpensive family-style Italian food, coupled with a great bar and great prices on modest wines.
It's also "family-style" in another sense, having consistently been rated among Out Smart Magazine's "gayest & greatest"--but if that's an issue for you, you really have no business dining out in Montrose in the first place.
Sunday brunch is not to be missed--particularly if you like your bottomless mimosas long on champagne and short on orange juice.
