This coffee shop looks as though it could be the scene for the "feel-good movie of the year." Tall windows allow extensive sunlight in during the morning and afternoon and also allow you to watch the many people walking through Broad Ripple at night.
They offer many different teas and brewed coffees as well as several espresso drinks and pastries.
Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly, helpful and skilled; there is something for everyone.

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. You order at the counter from the menu hanging from the ceiling offering everything from pancakes and omlettes to egg sandwiches, then you pay and find a seat where your food will be brought to you in under ten minutes. Everything is delicious including everything in the pastry case. Pastries, cakes and side dishes as well as breads and bagels are available for take out as well.

I went to the Milano Inn lunch buffet with the wrong impression ... I thought the Milano Inn served Italian food and it would be an Italian buffet but that it was not! They did serve some Italian but they served either equal or more of American food. Roast beef, fish, dressing, green beans, etc. were more the types of things they served. They also had a great soup ... it pretty much tasted like spaghetti sauce but I thought it was good. The cheesecake was great but you could tell it was not homemade ... the topping was still frozen! If it was homemade, it was frozen and not thawed out properly. I would return to Milano Inn for lunch if the opportunity presented itself but I would not make a special trip. I believe the cost for the buffet is $6.99 not including the drink.

This is my favorite place to have dinner in Indy. Bar none. Amazing and creative dishes, but ones you'll still recognize.
Romantic, trendy decor.
Go on Thursdays...it's half price martini night, and that menu is a whole page. I highly recommend the Original Sin. :)

Bakehouse is a great little cafe to go for lunch or breakfast on the weekends. The atmosphere is laid back and it's very contemporary inside. Their lunch fare is average, but their baked products are superb. You must try the chocolate croissants! It tends to get a little busy at peak lunch/dinner hours, but I've always been able to find a spot on one of the couches.

I have four words for you:
MILK CHOCOLATE CREME BRULEE
Need I say more?
Ok, if you actually need another nudge - which seems impossible after my initial announcement - the nutty croissants (in either almond or walnut) are absolutely declicious and perfect for breakfast!
If you do wish to test the creme brulee, and they are not currently serving this item when you arrive, they do take personal orders for dinner parties. They will even do the baking in your own dishes if you prefer.
After this, there is all manner of cookies, cakes, pies and breads to choose from. It is a carb lover's paradise, and really - who doesn't fall into that category??
