It is no secret that Seattle has many Thai restaurants. And I would have to say that there are many that are very good. I would have to say that Thai Siam would have to be at the top of the list. I spent a few months in Thailand a few years back and fell in love with the country. Thailand is known for many things - a few being the kindness of the people and the richness and complexity of their cuisine. Thai Siam captures both aspects in full. You walk into the restaurant and the staff are very kind, greet you sincerely, and offer you a table. Most (if not all) are from Thailand and even greet you w/ the national greeting of "saw wa dee kup". Once the meal starts get ready for an amazing workout for your taste buds. Be sure to order the Tom Kah Gai soup. It's a chicken broth and coconut milk soup that is slightly sweet, hot, and sour at the same time. Their rendition is my favorite of any Thai restaurant in Seattle. Also I know that they do charity work as well and have an annual dinner where all the earnings go to a local charity. I'm not sure which charity but the donation they give is in the tens of thousands. Definitely check out Thai Siam! more
