My kids love going to the show. They would much rather go to stars and stripes than the regular theatre. Their concession stand is reasonably priced and you don't have to leave the comfort of your car. You don't have to listen to people who want to bring their cell phones or talk during a movie.

The National Ranching Heritage Center is truly a beautiful place to visit in the spring. They offer tours through their center with the different types of cowboy and prairie period housing. The also have an indoor museum and gift shop. They have many things to see, so everyone will find something they like. They also have very flat trails that seem like they would accommodate wheel chairs. They have a beautiful white and green house that has period furnishings!

I love going to the Omnimax Theater at the Science Spectrum. It is a lot like an IMAX. This theater offers a great panoramic view with great surround sound. Most of the time there are very interesting and educational films being shown, but occasionally they offer a "fun" movie. Admission is very reasonable, since this is the only theater of its type in the area. Also, the Omni Theater is at the Science Spectrum, so you could have a great field trip or fun science filled day, all at one location.

This is a fun place to take the family for some fun. You can go to their website and get some discount information otherwise you pay $15.00 per person to ride all you want to ride. That to me is kind of expensive. They have a good selection of rides for all ages and the food is good too.

The Buddy Holly Center is often the first stop for tourists in Lubbock; it houses memorabilia from the acclaimed artists life which is both intersting for his old and newer fans alike. But the center is also displays art that is of a new nature, art that is both thought provoking and provacative. Located in the Depot District and symbolized by the giant glasses which Buddy Holly wore, the center definitely makes for a interesting day.

Who knew that a city as small as Lubbock would house its very own international airport? The airport serves as the gateway into the city by housing information about the area's history and local merchants. I like the airport because it is relatively free from the hassels that plague the airports of larger cities. When coming into and out of Lubbock, I definitely recommend the airport!

The Lubbock Regional Arts Center provides the city with an area to hold various receptions and other events. The Center also is used for many artistic events like the piano convention, woodworking society, and many other groups. Within the main room, there are art pieces hung for viewing by the area's budding artists (usually students) with many of them being very rivetting. The center is one of Lubbock's best kept secrets!

More
The American Wind Power Center in Lubbock is an interesting place. West Texas, known by its inhabitants for its dust storms, has the unique combination of having a lot of wind and a large underground water supply. The wind power center shows how West Texas developed due to wind power from wind mills and how that old power can be used for our new resources. The topic is interesting and makes for a fun outing!
