CSUS is a great school for both local kids wanting to stay in town and newcomers to the Sacramento area. The campus is located on the American River and is an easy walk from many local apartment complexes. Parking is expensive and extremely hard to come by, so CSUS offers a free shuttle system to transport students from local bus stops to the campus. Classes are small enough that you feel like you're getting enough individual attention. Many large lecture classes also are paired with smaller discussion classes for that very reason. It is not always easy to get the classes you need, but most professors are as accomodating as possible in trying to assist you on your way to graduation. The campus is beautiful, the students are friendly, and the staff is kind.
