So, I am driving a car that is soon to celebrate its 20th birthday. It has over 155,000 miles on it; I got it for my high school graduation and it's moved across the country with me. (It has the midwestern rust from the old days to prove it.) I'm not continuing to drive it out of sentimentality; I just don't happen to have money for anything newer. I live in the country, do a lot of mountain driving, and can't be in an unsafe car, but I can't afford to be dropping huge amounts of money on it every time it starts making a funny noise. If I had that kind of money I'd be driving something else by now!
