I have traveled the state and whenever I see an Italian bakery I stop and try a cannoli. From Greenwich to Hartford and everything in between, nothing beats Lucibello's. Their cakes are outstanding. Four generations of my family have been getting desserts there for over 50 years.

Where do I begin...Hiring LMP photography was the best thing I could have ever done for my wedding day. I first met the Lisa the owner at a bridal show and instantly clicked. She was so knowledgeable and from the beginning she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it photographed. Right from the start she was able to accommodate my needs and what package was best for me. I also hired LMP to take pictures for my bridal shower...best idea ever! I also love the fact that they provide flush mounted albums. So professional and modern! She helped me approve my photos one on one in the studio and we went over EXACTLY how I wanted my album to look before I had the final result. All of my photos were delivered right on time and exactly how I wanted them to look. LMP photography prices are reasonable and for the quality and attention you recieve, very much worth every penny. To this day I cannot thank her enough for capturing the elegance and romance of my wedding. LMP photography was able to capture the moments of my wedding that I will treasure forever. A bride should not have to worry about a thing on her wedding day and Lisa and her group was able to fulfill that. I loved them so much that I hired them for a baby shower I threw and for my best friend. My best friend loved the pictures so much that she in turn hired LMP for my baby shower! LMP is able to capture all my life's happiest memories for years to come and I can't thank them enough for that! Thank you LMP.

Harold's is quite the New Haven institution if you ask folks who've lived here all their lives. It's where you go for your wedding dress (unless you're one of those people who goes to New York, or has a mother who sews). So, I took their advice and checked it out when I needed a wedding dress.
I lucked out and accidentally made my dress viewing appointment the day that they started their annual sample sale, fell in love with the first dress I tried on, and took it home with me that day. If you're not quite that easy to please, it looked like they had a great selection and very reasonable prices.
I also used them for my bridesmaid's dresses, and rental tuxes for groomsmen - the sales staff was very helpful and kind and cheerful, and their selection was extensive. Best of all, when my mother, six weeks before the wedding, announced that she hadn't yet bought a dress of her own, they jumped into action and helped her find something great (and very skillfully talked her into the right size - even though she insisted she was a size 8 - and the appropriate, structured underwear) Three cheers for their professionalism and good humor - which I think counts for a heck of a lot when you're dealing with a potentially stressful situation!

A very clean facility, which impress me especially in their gym. Someone is always walking around cleaning equipment. They have numerous treadmills, recumbent bikes, stairmasters, as well as some equipment that you usually don't see outside of the biggest gyms of rehabilitative centers. Gaylord has a small facility here.
There are numerous educational programs, Jewish history, dance, lectures, etc.
There is a pool, yoga, pilates, and a massage therapist.
There is a kosher cafe, with wonderful home made kettle fried potatoes that are just wonderful. They serve homemade soups and sandwiches, etc.
There is a day care and several activities, as well as a gift shop and Jewish literature related library
