Libby's has been around New Haven for years. That's their one selling point. They're not a shop that will likely close anytime soon.
Unfortunately, the attitude of their workers is terrible. I went there to try on motorcycle jackets and after not finding my size, the salesman asked if I was just trying things on to buy later on the internet? I was shocked, to say the least, and never stepped foot in there again.
Their prices are expensive for a motorcycle shop. On average about $30 more than other competitors. Their selection is OK, but they don't have many new items.
Be extremely careful of what you buy here. Returns can be a hassle, and again, you're not going to get the best treatment. They know that they are one of the only local motorcycle shops, so they don't need to "ploy" you to come in.

There's nothing good about a car accident - even a minor fender bender. I hope I never see these guys again.
But, you couldn't find a better place to take your car when it needs work. Not only are these guys patient and sympathetic, but they're very open and knowledgable about cars, and make a point of ensuring that you understand your rights, their thoughts on what your repair requires, and ways to verify their recommendations. If you know nothing about cars (like me), you'll leave feeling like you're being well taken care of - not taken advantage of. Their work is exceptional - my car looks brand new - and they pride themselves on taking extra steps for their customers (insisting the insurance company pay for top notch instead of adequate parts, shampooing the inside after I left junk everywhere, buffing out a few dings that were from shopping carts instead of the accident - and I checked, those items were not billed - and giving me some Honda specific advice above and beyond the call of duty - did you know that leaving an active cell phone in the passenger seat will fry your airbag sensors over time? An unforseen quirk.)
They're particularly good with Hondas - Brandfon Honda uses them for all their repair work, so they see a lot, but I'd use them for anything.
Seriously - make yourself feel better if you're in a bad situation. Trust these guys.
