i wandered in here while on a business trip. i liked the unpretentious atmosphere, even though i was in a business suit with the latest 'it' bag. i ordered a beer and some gucamole to start. the guac kind of fizzed in my mouth, so i figured it was off. to their credit, they replaced it but i still didn't feel like there was a lot of flavor in the second, greener batch. i ordered an enchilada/tamale combo and was impressed with all the different fllings you could get with the enchilada. i chose the chicken mole and it was good. the beef tamale was good, too. i thought the beans that came with it were odd. they seemed like they had combined a can of refried beans with a can of whole beans, and tried to pass it off like it was homeade. the rice was good with a sort of rechopped look and nutmeg flavor. all in all, i think this is a solid value for the money.
Pros: wait staff and chicken enchilada moles
Cons: none really
