The first time I went in it was supposed to be $38 for freon in my ac but their ""credit card machine was down"" and all I had in cash was two twenties. Supposedly he didn't have change either so he said he'd just ""owe me two bucks."" When my ac stopped cooling again soon, I went back and they didn't charge me for more freon, which they did put in, but they told me that I must have a leak. They couldn't find the leak under the hood, so it must be in the evaporator up under the dashboard. Removing the dashboard was very laborious, so it was going to cost $500-600. I went to a different guy, Casey over at Better Deal Auto on Steubner Airline across from Klein High School, for a second opinion, and he immediately saw the leak under the hood and pointed it out to me. The whole repair only ended up costing a few bucks for new hoses and freon. I was SO glad he was there and so much more honest! Casey has also done other work for me when other places wanted to charge a whole lot more.
