My wife and I made the mistake of visiting Atwood Sales to inquire about their mulch.
When I asked the cost per cubic foot the female sales clerk immediately barked ?What kind of Mulch do you want!? I calmly replied,? What?s your best mulch for planting trees? Japanese Maple trees.?
Instead of sharing a piece of her superior mulch knowledge with us and provide a best guess or better yet, an educated recommendation as to what mulch to use or what?s available, she sneered ?That means nothing to me, what kind of mulch do you want!!?
My wife looked at me with disbelief as this woman stood in front of us with this annoyed look. Meanwhile the three other employees behind the counter found the conversation amusing and offered zero assistance.
At that point it became clear to us that we were just too stupid to be shopping there and walked out.
Forgive me for asking a stupid question, but the unjustifiable arrogance of the Atwood Sales staff was appalling. Their unwillingness to help, or provide anything close to customer service, made it and easy choice for us to simply shop somewhere else.
We ended up buying ?pine bark mulch? from O. F. Wolfinbarger , Inc. in Chino, who were both courteous and informative.
