Wonderful doctors, but the business side is awful!
I was a patient at Family Medical Care for many years. One of their doctors delivered my son, and he was a remarkable doctor, even called me at home to check on me, throughout the pregnancies! He's no longer with them, but we all need more doctors like him!
Their doctors are all in a Christian based practice, which is wonderful. They work on healing your soul, as well as your body.
But, as with any large clinic, there are problems.
Long wait time to see a doctor, even with an appointment.
If you have a past due balance that you were not aware of, they will not see you, even in an emergency situation.
And the biggest problem... My husband was diagnosed with pancreatitis, with an unknown cause. I started getting the exact same symptoms, and they refused to test my enzymes, telling me it was all in my head.
After several months of vomiting on a daily basis, I demanded that they do the blood work. They told me they would notify me if the results indicated anything I should know about. An entire month later, I received a letter from them stating that my enzymes were elevated to the point where I needed to be hospitalized immediately. Apparantly, they had lost my phone number...
Needless to say, I wouldn't return there, so when I went to pick up my records to take to my new physician, there was absolutely nothing in there about that whole mix up!

Dr. Dodson took care of my sister when she was injured in a car wreck... he has a great sense of humor, and really took care of her. Even gave out his home phone number, in case there were any problems!!!

Dr. Exon really takes time to sit down with the kids and parents... he sees fewer patients each day than most doctors to take the time to spend with them.
My sister had a bedwetting problem when she was little... after several doctors just said "she'd grow" out of it, he suggested a low dose antidepresent... he had read about it in a medical journal, and it worked like a charm!
Anyway, he keeps up to date on the latest treatments, and spends time listening to his patients (and their parents). I don't have kids yet, but when I do, I hope he's still in practice.

I started going to Dr. McHenry after a friend of mine started raving about her (she had been told she was infertile by 3 doctors... Dr. McHenry found the problem).
I've found her to be very caring, and she really takes the time to answer your questions. Before she's done with her exam, she always askes if I have any questions for her. If I do, she'll sit will me for as long as an hour explaining them to me. That's tough to find!
She's JUST ABOUT full... she limits the hours she works so she can care for her own kids. So if you're wanting to see her, expect a 2 month wait for your initial visit. After that, she can work you in just about anytime.

I've been going to Dr. Flint for several years now... he's a top notch dentist. His staff is gentle, and he knows what he's doing.
I can't really speak to the price of things... my insurance has free preventative care, and a $75 deductable, so I've never paid attention to the cost.
One note: He moved his office to 91st and Toledo. It's kind of hard to find now. But worth the drive out there... it's nice that everyone there remembers my name, even if I'm only there every 6 months.

I love this store because they are one stop supermarket for natural and organic foods. I find a lot of healthy supplements, friendly household and beauty care products. They also have a deli restaurant where you can sit down and enjoy your nutritious lunch . Also, the atmosphere is relaxing. They have promotion by collection points and you can redeem gifts too. That's good deal.

I went with my dad to help him pick out new glasses after a car wreck... he wanted glasses similar to his old ones (wire frame, big, square lenses). The "helpful" sales associates kept trying to push the latest styles. We started out polite, but finally got fed up. They were NOT getting the idea that we had something in mind, and didn't want to be sold on another style.

Restore is a good place to shop if you're looking to do a low cost home repair or maintenance project. They have used tools, home fixtures, and equiptment at a fraction of the cost to buy new. My brother in law runs a real estate business, and its proved extremely helpful to him when his budget is not so forgiving.

I really do think this man is a good dentist, but he's a bit arrogant when it comes to his work. I was in braces for about 5 1/2 years, and a surgery I had was postponed until I was already in college when it should have been 2 years earlier. Did he do a good job in the end? yes. But when I questioned him about the length of time the process took, it mysteriously seemed to take longer...

This man is one of the most skilled, professional individuals that I have ever met. He knows EXACTLY what he's doing in every situation. If you want a doctor you can truly trust with your heatlh, he's the one. His bedside manner is great, and he'll make conversation with you rather than just prodding you with instruments. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
