I went to May Street Market last night, after looking at the tribune review and finding the menu prices reasonable in comparison. The food was excellent, maytag blue cheesecake and morel appetizers were delicious and the entrees were just as good (venison and stuffed tomatoes). The hostess and waiter were friendly and accomodating and there was a bottle of water on the table, so we never ran out--not sure how the review below had such a difficult time. The space is perfect for groups or even a date, stuck w/ martini's though--so I can't comment on the wine selection. I left feeling I had definitely gotten my moneys worth food AND service wise, I'll definitely be back.
