Pizza is something I take very seriously. I love ordering a pizza for delivery and I have tried dozens of pizza places in LA. I used to defend Enzo's to my fiance. She prefers the simple pleasures of a chain pizza, while I believe that the fresh taste of a neighborhood pizzeria is usually going to better even if less consistent. After our last experience with Enzo's I am going to either have to get used to Papa John's or find a better neighborhood pizza place. Enzo's was never ""Great"", but I usually find the pizza pretty good and they are about 1/2 a mile from my house. Tonight I ordered a large pizza, salad and 2 liter soda. After waiting 1 hr and 45 minutes the pizza finally showed up. The pizza was cold and the salad was warm. So while I was reheating their pizza in my oven and I decided to call and complain just out of principle. After being put on hold for 15 minutes, I was told that if I wanted I could call the manager back tomorrow. Yeah! thats exactly what i want to do - waste more of my time on this poor experience. Maybe it was the experience or maybe my fiance has been right all along, but the pizza tasted pretty lousy tonight, the salad wasnt even touched cause who wants wilted warm lettuce, and i know I will never give this place another chance to ruin my dinner experience. At 6:30 it sounded like a fun idea to order a pizza. At 8:20 when I was finally eating my reheated pizza I felt like I was taken advantage of. I am usually not the type to complain and generally I will let a situation like this go cause everyone has a bad night, but the way they handled the whole thing makes me think this is a business that is much more interested in servicing the drunk students of UCLA who perhaps wont complain than the neighborhood in general. I will go with Johnnies New York from now on. Better pizza, better service, better experience.
