A Good (and Inexpensive) Steakhouse in Koreatown??? 1/8/2007

When i lived in Koreatown, i actually lived a block down from this historical establishment known as Taylor's Steakhouse. i never ventured inside because i figured that it might just be some two-bit wannabe steakhouse (Plus, the surrounding neighbourhood isn't exactly all that nice or safe). However, my parents decided to indulge my meat-loving mouth for my birthday and decided to eat at Taylor's. Don't be fooled by the neighbourhood ambiance: Taylor's is classy and elegant. It may not be a Lawry's in terms of restaurant atmosphere, but it is a nice retreat away from big-city life. To the most important aspect... their steaks. They do not offer a huge number of cuts, but those that they do are all juicy and tender! Everything from their special culotte cut to their fliet mignon are mouth-watering and cooked just right. Their home steak sauce is well worth a dip too! Service is a cut above the rest; well-attentive, friendly and a good number of the servers have been there for many years, lending to their legacy as a historical gastronomic landmark. Granted, this being Koreatown, parking and space is somewhat limited, but i have never experienced any great discomfort. i have also been to their La Ca?ada location and have enjoyed the same taste and service i have come to expect from their original location. Bottom Line: a relatively affordable (and delicious!) steakhouse and a true ""diamond in the rough"" in this big city of Los Angeles. Bon appetit! Pros: Steaks, Service, Quality Cons: Parking more
