My wife and I ventured away from the confines of SE Portland for some mundane errands and we came across Pepitas. Wow. I had the Posole, which is a pork and hominy soup that they prepare on the weekends only. It could be described as the mexican equivilent of pho, complete with a variety of garnishes and spices, and it is worth the drive from anywhere in the Portland metro area. The wife had a medley of tacos that were top notch, as well. In a landscape dominated with chains like Baja Fresh, Burger King and Quiznos, this place is a real treasure, and we will certainly make the trip out to the burbs for the sole purpose of eating here again.
