Thanks so much for everything, it was perfect. The room looked awesome, the food was delicious and your staff was so nice. Cheese Shop has an incredible variety of local artisan cheeses to choose from, as well as locally grown vegetables and very lean, shaved meats. The meats are great, but vegetarians will really find this deli a veggie paradise. A veggie/cheese sandwhich is made to order, and can include up to four different cheeses. There are several freshly baked breads to choose from, including gluten-free and whole wheat varieties. The prices for a sandwhich are in the $5 range, making it a great lunch destination

My wedding was held at the Bernardo Winery and I originally was working with a different caterer. I wasn't really excited about the choice of food so I contacted the original caterer about changing it to brunch food vs. the usual boring dinner and got a lackluster response.
I was too busy with work to deal with it, but my sister got ticked and decided to contact The Abbey. Within two days, Alana created a great proposal and by the end of the week we had several revisions to get the final product.
We didn't have time to taste the food, we just jumped in with both feet and were never disappointed. Petr was our banquet captain and he was great. He was very organized and full of great ideas when asked. People raved about our choice of brunch for dinner, but it really was the quality and presentation of the food and the service that made the people rave.

I love the whole concept of "In-House Chef." Essentially, you hire someone to come into your home and prepare a dinner. If you have the ingredients already available, the price for the service is cheaper. However, if your'e going to have a chef come into your home and prepare a meal, chances are you're choosing a dish you wouldn't otherwise make yourself. In-House Chef is extremely flexible in the recipes and menus they prepare, and most of your entree requests can be honored. I had them come into my home to prepare a romantic dinner for two on a Saturday night, and they just did a wonderful job. I prepared the table and they did the rest. The price was great, and the kitchen was left spotless.

She only cators small affairs so you get very personal attention and she listens to your ideas about they type of food you want too.
Chef Jacki's experience in restaurants in San Francisco and here in San Diego comes through in her creativity, sophistication and style. (She is a very sweet person)
She also does cooking classes in your kitchen for you and a small group of your friends.
You may have to plan in advance because i know she is busy but it is worth the wait!

You can waste your time trying to find the best ribs in town or you can take my advice and pick up a slab of spare ribs from Bekker's. Planning a Hawaiian theme, look into there whole pig, nothing like fresh pork that was pit roasted overnight. Many may remember the days of all you can eat ribs; those days are in the past. Bekker's will still take orders of pickup or delivery if you don’t have a party to throw. Fair priced, great caterer, be sure to use them for you next company picnic.
