if you work in the area, i highly recommend their little prepared meals for lunch. they have sushi, and all kinds of inexpensive rice bowls like curry, pork or chicken cutlets, mabo rice, etc for about $5, and bigger bento boxes. they have 2 microwaves you can use. you can grab a green iced tea in a can, and a box of pocky, and there's your lunch. more

Cute little market on the Westside 9/28/2005

This is a cute Japanese market located in West LA. It is located in the little japanese strip where there are a ton of little asian places to eat off of Sawtelle and Olympic. They sell every kind of japanese food/toy you could ask for. They have a huge selection of fresh sushi, a ton of desserts (japanese kind and not), candy, great asian drink selection, etc. They even have various specials every week where you can get things at a discounted price. more

Good Grocery 9/22/2005

This is a Japanese grocery store that carries many Japanese kind of food that you cannot find in other places. They have snacks, fresh vegetables, sashimi, fish, meat, some ready to go meal packages. You can also get the red bean and green tea ice-cream from here. There are also Japanese magazines and other personal care products. more
