Versailles Restaurant is located at 10319 Venice Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. I visited this place when I was on vacation, and I was so glad I did. I got the information from Judy's Book, and I took it to heed. The place is amazing. It is a little Cuban Restaurant. If you have never tried Cuba food, you should. I think you will like it. I loved the Roasted Chicken Dinner. That is what I got. I was in awe of it, as well as the atmosphere and restaurant itself. I simply loved it a lot. I recommend your trying it just once. Cause just one time is all it is going to take to make you a true regular customer. It's really awesome. The location and parking are wonderful as well, so you do not have to worry about that.

...because after you eat here, you're going to be able to hear the garlic and onion seeping out of your pores! Ha! This place has AMAZING food, fast & friendly service, and ample dining space (though parking can be tricky if I recall correctly). Lines do form, but move fairly quickly with the quick service and table turnover. I've always gotten the slow roasted pork or the garlic chicken. Wow. Prepare to become garlic-onion-infused!

Hugely popular Cuban restaurant located on Venice & Motor. Great prices, fast service, and a large menu of authentic Cuban dishes (they're known for their garlic chicken and arroz con pollo in particular). Get there early for dinner -- a line starts forming at about 7pm and sometimes stretches down the block. The dining area is large, though, and the service is excellent, so the line moves quickly. Casual dining environment. Never had a bad meal here.

Maybe Versailles is overrated, I don't know. But I have always enjoyed their food immensely, everything I've had from sandwiches to soups were outstanding. For those that never eat these types of more exotic foods, its like going on a flavor journey through unchartered lands. Many items are priced under $10 which is a very good value. The quality of the ingredients is good, but the uniquely Cuban flavor is what keeps me going back.
Try the roasted garlic chicken plate; it's delicious. If you like Cuban food, I think you'll be pleased. And if you haven't tried Cuban food, you should.

Anytime I have out of town guests who want to eat something different, I take them to Versailles, a cuban restaurant off Venice Blvd in Palms/Culver City area. They also have two other locations that I know of--one off La Cienega and pico and the other off sepulveda in Manhattan Beach.
Their signature dishes are the garlic chicken or the roasted pork. You will probably sweat garlic for a week, but it's worth it. The line outside always looks long, but it moves fast. Inside the place is very casual...you can bring just a friend or the baseball team and they will still accomodate. Fried yucca is also a favorite.
Oh, don't leave your leftovers in the car. Put them in the trunk or your car will also smell like garlic for a week!

Without a doubt, the most authentic Cuban food in town. They serve mouth watering entrees that are good enough to eat almost every day without getting tired of it. My personal recommendations are the Chicken with Yellow Rice or the Garlic Chicken. Very juicy and packed full of flavor. There is also a selection of dishes with beef and seafood. Prices are very reasonable.

There are three Versailles restaurants in Los Angeles: Venice -Mar Vista/ Palms neighborhood; La Cienega-outside Beverly Hills; and on Ventura -Encino or Tarzana. THE food is GREAT!
Versailles offers Cuban cuisine at fast food prices. The most popular dish is the Pollo con Arroz Amarillo (chicken and yellow rice). This dish comes with a roasted half chicken and rice is saffron yellow with peas. Great food, words just can't describe... must try!
