I love the spiteful comments regarding Blueprint, #1 The furniture is kind of placed where they have room, but they have limited space on Beverly blvd. and I personally would rather have more to choose from then perfect aesthetics. But when it comes down to I did not see Blueprints true colors until 10 days ago I ordered a custom couch from them. They were great through the whole process and the couch was ready in 9 days in custom size and design, which was 5 months sooner than the more expensive BoConcept was. The couch is great and the service is worth returning for, if you can get there attention.
Pros: Great Price, Great Design, Great turn around time.
Cons: Parking is Terrible

My wife and I have been to H.D.Buttercup many times over the past few years and each time we felt overwhelmed by this gigantic store and left without making a purchase.
Our last visit however was a much different experience, manly due to the fact that the store had the sense to add interior designers to their staff.
Upon arrival we were greeted by one of them and instead of the meaningless "how are you" he wanted to know if we "where on a mission". In fact, we were; we've been thinking about redoing hour living room for quite a while, but really didn't know what to change and how to put it all together.
He sat down with us and drew up our current floorplan, discussed the way we use the room and what we had in mind for the future; one of the may questions he asked, was if we have kids or animals, because that would impact not only the amount of seating, but also the fabrics we should consider for our new upholstery...
After about half an hour, we had a fantastic new layout for the room. With his knowledge of the inventory of the store, he was able to guide us directly to pieces that worked for us.
Needless to say, this time we didn't leave without buying anything, we got most of our room squared away that day.
We can highly recommed H.D.Buttercup as well as Boris Eckey, the designer that was taking care of us.
We love our new living room; the layout makes the room feel twice it's size and all of the furniture looks amazing.
Final thought: if you feel like your getting overwhelmed by all the choices in this huge store, let one their designers help you!

Our kitchen was a mess and we had a baby on the way, my wife was on my case to get us a new kitchen before the baby was born. I kept dragging my feet and did not want to spend the money. In this economy I thought there is no way I can afford that kind of remodel. We finally went to the usual suspects, Home Depot Lowes and some other cabinet stores The prices for the cabinets where within my price range but we did not feel that we where in good hands in any of these places. We felt pressured at all times and we also felt that there where still so many unknown. Then we found out about the possible toxins that are in new cabinetry and with the baby on the way we needed to find someone that could provide us with non toxic cabinetry. Everyone we spoke to told us that that would certainly not be within our budget. After extensive research on the net we fell upon the Pure Bond website and they revered us to Bradco kitchens and Bath on Pico Blvd. We made an appointment and the rest is a Love story. Ryan was our designer and together with the owner they tailored a kitchen for us that fit our needs and most importantly our budget. Just be careful because all the accessories that you think you want can get you fast above the budget. When we told Michael the owner that we where above what we could afford he sat down with us and Ryan and tailored us the kitchen that we could pay for. We got high end custom cabinetry with NO TOXIC materials. They even loan you a FORMALDEHYDE METER to check you cabinets. So you can be sure that what they say is true. Bradco does not install but they revered us to their in-house installer, B & R Construction. They did what they promised on budget and on time. We can highly recommend them. Thank you Mr. Michael, Ryan and Eli from B&R. You where great.

Since I have lived in three different cities over the last five years, I have become something of an expert in furniture stores. I have shopped and made purchases at them all, from Macy's furniture store in San Francisco to Thomasville Furniture in Pasadena and countless other small shops. Although I did enjoy most of the furniture that I bought at these stores, I never became a fan of any of the stores.
It's different with Loft Appeal. I am a fan, a big one.
I rave about the place and recommend it to friends regularly.
From traditional furniture to one of a kind pieces, Loft Appeal is a furniture shoppers dream. I even like to look at the unique stuff I would never think of putting in my place. It is not only a furniture store it is a museum of sorts. But hey, don't take my word for it. Check it out for yourself.
Here are a couple of tips when shopping there:
Ask for Rich he is the co-owner. He will go out of his way for you. He gave me a loaner table and couch while I waited for mine to arrive. He measured my loft and made suggestions that I would never have thought of. Dealing with Rich is like having your own interior decorator you can bounce ideas off of. (Oh yeah, Rich will kill me for this... but haggle with him a bit and he will cut the price on stuff that is already lower than at all the chains.)
PROS: Personal service. Service you can't possibly get at chains or most other st
CONS: Well you have to go to downtown LA to get there.

We are really happy with our purchase from Roman Deco. My husband was looking for a very unique writing desk for his home/office and i was looking for a unique bedroom. We searched hundreds of furniture stores and finally found Roman Deco. They sell very exclusive, elegant furniture. Truly beautiful selection. The owners have great taste. They import the best of the best from Europe. Great service. Prompt delivery. We highly recommend this store.

Our custom couch is so comfy. They were able to make the exact size to fit our space. They can make any size and any style in any fabric? with so many choices I?m grateful that the salesperson helped stir us in the right direction. They delivered it only two weeks after we designed it. They were also very accommodating with the delivery window. I mention this because the delivery window was only two hours, which is unheard of nowadays. The whole experience was fast, easy, and painless. We have already referred friends to them.

Good: The desk is built so solid that I am pretty sure I could push it out of my 5th story apartment window and it would still be intact! I wanted a steel framed desk because that is what my dad always had when I was growing up but they are really hard to find these days, or they are shoddily made, but the Versa Tables desk was perfect. It has a solid steel frame and really nice wood surface, so it looks good and serves me well. I also got a live person on the phone right away which I loved.. Bad: It was a little hard to get inside my apartment because it's so heavy, but I said I wanted a solid desk, right?! Once I got it in place though and put the gliders on it was great.. Improvements: None so far!. Other: I got a friendly sales person on the phone when I ordered, the desk arrived quickly, shipping was free, and I love the desk. What more can I say?.

i just love this store. it's full of all kinds of unique products ranging from furniture to candles, kids toys to photography books. a little bit of everything, and yet everything is interesting. i can just browse this store and entertain myself, but i usually come here to find something new or if i'm looking for that perfect gift for someone who has the usual knick-knacks that everyone else has, and want to get them something really DIFFERENT.

In defense of Nick, I have purchased items from him in the past (on consignment as well as immediate purchase) and I never had any issues with him or his service(s). His has always been professional, honest and even suggested some ways that he can assist me in delivery and I reside in Las Vegas. I have been in NY for many months and now return to Vegas, seeking his tel number I read this negative comment about him and wanted to set the record straight! I do not believe the story written of him. I intend to stop by his establishment soon and continue to do business with him.
