Working on getting my 4-Runner into service department for the 8TH TIME!!! for the SAME PROBLEM!!! Their strategy was to just guess what's wrong and start making repairs at my cost. Every time they 'fix' it they tell me it runs perfect which means one of two things...gross incompetence or utter deceit because the car runs like it did on trip 1. The details are far too long to list here but they are trying to wash their hands of us. I was told parts were taken off and checked which weren't. Though they are very friendly there, they are far from excellence and I am about ready to sue.

This is one of the best Honda service centers in Washington. The guy who owns it used to work at a Honda dealership but now owns his own business. He is extremely honest and knows just about everything about every Honda ever made, especially the older ones that need work.
He kind of reminds me of the Maytag man because he doesn't get much business servicing Honda's but he'll really take care of you if you need a tune up. I know he's saved me a lot of money just by doing some preventative maintenance.

Overcharged for parts (above H-D dealer price by 30%), high per hour rate, didn't do certain key elements of service, overinflated (45psi) rear tire, misaligned rear wheel, primary cover leaked, don't know TSSM error codes. Evidently employ undertrained/untrained mechanic(s).

I have gone to this place a few times to give them chance to earn my business. Each time I have gone they have charged me hundreds of dollars, they are still slightly cheaper then Professionals. Here is an example of there service. I went to get a tuneup and specifically told them I have a coolant leak. So they took 5 days and charged me 850. 3 weeks later the coolant started leaking again at about a gallon a day. So I took it back it because is was undriveable and they kept it for a week before they even looked at it, and they said it wasn't there fault and put a price tag of 1000 for the same coolant leak they couldn't find before. I didn't pay them, I took my car and went to a VW dealership where is was repaired expertly and hasn't had a leak since.

I bought tires here without a hitch. But when one of the tires had to be
repaired 3 times, the staff were rude, would not replace the tire, and were
going to charge me for the repair - only after complaining did they not charge
me. I could have lived with it except for the unfriendly staff.

More
Summers Automotive in Kirkland is a rare breed these days. I've taken three vehicles there on several occasions and have complete confidence that they'll never try to pull the wool over my eyes or do anything that's not necessary.
How about with my 1974 Jeep that I'd rewired myself after it caught fire? Instead of recommending they rewire it for me they figured out the few spots I'd screwed up and fixed just that.
A 1993 Honda Civic that needed a little bit of everything including a new H on the front got only a recommendation for a new timing belt given the cost to fix everything was way more than the whole thing was actually worth.
Finally, a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo that we were sure needed some serious work turned out to only need a tune up and a new air filter.
In each instance Summers was happy to let the car sit on their lot for days while I was out of town and their staff was happy to explain exactly what they'd done as I nodded along in supposed comprehension.

I have only used Lee Johnson Chevy Mazda for maintenance service, no major repairs. The mechanics and staff are friendly and knowledgable, making recommendations as necessary, but not applying any type of high pressure sales pitch. Prices were quite reasonable for basic tune-up type maintenance, especially considering their high rent Kirkland location. Appointments were kept on time, service was taken care of in an expeditious manner, and I was always on my way in short order. The service department is open on Saturdays, which is a huge plus, otherwise there would be a giant drop-off and get to work and back to the dealership hassle.

More
This was my first new car purchase. So I'm sure I made newbie errors.
But I couldn't believe the sleazy treatment we got here. The salesman even said, "What do I have to do to sell you a car today." Twice!
My gripes: They charged more than they quoted me via e-mail.
I left my driver's license there (they needed it for the sale and forgot to return it). They said they'd mail it. They didn't. Several days later, when I inquired about it, they said they'd mailed it. They hadn't.
Since I couldn't legally drive without it, I asked that they deliver it. They balked and insulted me. We finally got it back. But it was appalling customer service. It's one thing not to send the license. But to lie about it? And really, how much effort was it in exchange for a $20,000 car sale?
I wrote them a letter. Received no response. I'd never shop here again. They're obviously interested in sales, and not people.

I went to the kirkland dealer to look for some honda accords, all the ones they had were beat up and dented in, and they still wanted pretty high prices for them.. I almost got suckered into one, until i noticed the guy was fidgeting around with the driver side mirror and it fell out of its housing, and he said nothing.. I asked "What about that?" and he replied "Oh we'll get that fixed before you drive it off the lot" i was wondering why it wasn't fixed before hand? Just make sure you really inspect the cars.. Not only that, but he left us half way through to go deal with someone else who was looking at a more expensive car.. Go to a reputable dealer.
