Strengths - can be fast and effecient depending on the loan officer.
Weaknesses - charges extremely high rates even though you are thinking you are getting a no fee, no cost or low cost loan. Hidden rebates on the backend given loan consultants high payout for providing lendee rates that are no the best.
In comparison to bank based lender liks a Wells Fargo, you know extactly what you getting, no hidden rebates, and a consistent product.

Steve Belew, manager of AAA Roofing/Skylights, and his team (two other guys) did great work for me and my husband. They installed four skylights for us in one day. We only had them do skylight installation and no drywall/finish work, so I can't say what the cost would be for them to do all the work, but I'm confident it would be at a competitive price. Steve visited our house before the job and gave us an accurate estimate. He kept up good communication via email, answering my many questions, giving me a detailed estimate, then a workorder/invoice that was always up-to-date in reflecting any changes I requested along the way.
Steve was able to give us a discount on the retail price of the skylights. If he doesn't mention it in his estimate, you might want to ask about it. He was so nice to work with that I can't imagine he'd deny you there.

I took my friend to the Shop to get her hair colored and do some translation for her (she speaks almost no English). She asked for an all over color, some blond highlights, and a cut. Basically what she received instead was a glowing halo of orangey hair, absolutely no highlights, and a completely crooked cut that was not even on both sides. The absolute worst part is that she was charged $165 for this horror. They said they would fix it, but really, would you trust people who had done such a shoddy job to fix your hair? Also, the stylist, if she can be called a stylist, tried to convince my friend that it didn't look so bad, that she had asked for it to look this way. WHAT??? Scary is the best word for this place!

Cafe Juanita is tucked away behind Starbucks and the new shopping complex that came with it. I believe it sits in front of a creek in a patch of trees...pretty cool place. The food is kinda pricy, but it's really good. I don't have any specific suggestions for you this time! I've been here a few times with my mom and I've yet to be disappointed. Dress to impress, most of the people I've seen inside were wearing suit and tie.

Working on getting my 4-Runner into service department for the 8TH TIME!!! for the SAME PROBLEM!!! Their strategy was to just guess what's wrong and start making repairs at my cost. Every time they 'fix' it they tell me it runs perfect which means one of two things...gross incompetence or utter deceit because the car runs like it did on trip 1. The details are far too long to list here but they are trying to wash their hands of us. I was told parts were taken off and checked which weren't. Though they are very friendly there, they are far from excellence and I am about ready to sue.

Looking for a dermatologist in Seattle? I highly recommend Dr. M. Sean Strother at the Laser Treatment Center in Kirkland. He is very good and honest. Doesn't tell you to buy expensive creams etc. etc. but comes down to the basics.

I went here for a pedicure while my husband was at his bachelor party and I wasn't too impressed with this place. The hotel is very beautiful and very scenic views but I wasn't pampered during my visit. For the price of the spa pedicure, I expected more than just the typical polish procedure but I was disappointed. There wasn't much "spa" to the whole service. If you are looking for pampering, I would find another spa.

More
Faced with a smoky chimney and page upon page of me-too yellow pages listings, I did what I often do: I looked online for consumer recommendations. In the process I stumbled across Steve Boggeman at Premier Masonry.
Not many masonry contractors have an email address, much less actually respond by email. But Steve's wife mailed back quickly to set up an appointment. Steve showed up as promised, came up with a quick (and inexpensive) solution, and came back later that week to do the work. All for less than $100.
The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that my project was pretty small, so I didn't have a chance to really put them through their paces. But if you need some masonry work done and don't know where to start, I'd suggest you give Premier Masonry a call.

The Paintbox isn't just a place to go to get cool colors for your walls. They actually retain some great interior designers and color consultants to help you create what you envision for your home. The paint they use is also EXTREMELY high quality, if kind of pricey. I recommend going if you need any design consultations. They have everything from paint, to color schemes, to hardware, to window treatments. It's a full desing store.

More
My cousin had a terrible experience with Hoffman's for her July wedding a couple of years ago. Two women carried the cake in and literally set it on the cake table without providing any instructions to my aunt or any relatives helping to set up. Since this was a day with 95 degree weather, about 3 hours later when it was time to serve the cake, the cake was melting and falling apart. It was a very lousy way to treat paying customers, especially considering they charged an additional $50.00 for delivery and set-up!
That being said, I have eaten in the shop 3 or 4 times over the years, and they have wonderful European-style pastries and tasty breakfast items as well. If you can purchase something that you can carry out on your own, enjoy. If you are dependant on them to deliver and set up a cake, look elsewhere.
