Been here 3 times over the last 2 years. Very courteous wait staff, knowledgeable with the menu and recommendations. Right now they have the tri-taco (soft taco) for lunch special. It was recommended to us and was sold on the spot. We loved it. Also right now, for each dessert sold, $1 goes into a charity. I love the happy hour there, the drinks, and overall the atmosphere, and patio seating. Check them out! One of Kirkland's favorite.

All I can say is either Izumi was having a bad night or the people writing the negative reviews don't know Japanese food. Izumi has been around for decades for a reason, they do Japanese food right. Nobody makes a Spider roll like they do and the seafood is a fresh as you can get it. They do get busy and I'd avoid the 6 - 7pm timeframe.
Pros: Food/Staff
Cons: busy at dinner time

I love Lynn's. The service is and food are generally excellent, and relative to the quality of the food, their pricing is quite reasonable.
Lynn is a classically trained French chef, her food takes on an Asian and/or Northwest flair in her kitchen, since she is of Asian decent and North-westerner today. An example would be wild Alaskan Salmon with a ginger-garlic sauce (delicious).
If you're looking for an excellent dining experience in a quiet, intimate restaurant (seats less than 40 I believe) on the eastside, this is your place.

What a find! This little gem on the eastside is a great place for lunch or dinner. This is the best Thai we have had on the eastside! The quiet, candlelit decor is great for dinner chat or dates. In the shopping area of downtown Kirkland and surrounded by neat shops and galleries, this restaurant offers a large variety of dishes spiced exactly as requested and delicious every time. Service is friendly and prompt.
Surrounded by interesting shops and galleries the location is quaint and fun. Add that to good food and you have a winner! We keep going back!
Pros: Great food and service; Very good menu selection; Reasonalbe Prices; Casual Dress; Candlelit Setting; Good location - near Lake Washington and shopping

okay, this place keeps me coming back. they have an excellent selection, a fast, and friendly staff, and the sushi chefs are always helpful when i have questions (sitting at the sushi bar).
they also have a bar! full bar, with an awesome, groovy bartender. if you haven't had good sake, so see this lady. avoid that warm cr@p and go for a glass of the chilled stuff. they have about a million to choose from.
Pros: tasty food, hostess, happy hour, the bar, decor

I've had multiple meals at Lucia's now and have been well satisfied every experience. I was always greeted with friendly and speedy service. On top of the very reasonable pricing for their food, the food itself is very well done. Their bruschetta is amazing for an appetizer. They have a salmon dish for an entree that was cooked to perfection. Flaky, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Their fruit tart is incredibly generously portioned with plenty of fresh berries served piping hot from the kitchen. During your wait for your food, you can sit back and enjoy their delicious foccocia bread serviced with a basalmic vinegar dipping sauce, and sit back and often enjoy a black and white film they play on one of their walls.
I would HIGHLY recommend Lucia's to anybody, and would encourage people to take advantage of when Lucia's partakes in the Urban Eats special running where there is a full 3 course meal for just $30! I have been very satisfied with every experience I have had at Lucia's and they will continue to have me and my family's business for years to come. Keep up the good work Lucia's!
Pros: Food, Prices, Service, Decor
Cons: Couldn't find one

I would like to think my family knows good food, we've been to several of the best (consensus) restaurants in the country i.e. Babbo, 21 Club, Gramercy Tavern in NYC. Having said this, one night this past summer my mom was out of town and naturally my dad and I went down to the waterfront for dinner. My dad had heard of the Fish Cafe so we decided to give it a try. We were VERY pleasantly surprised. The apple, bacon heart of romaine was simple yet delightful. Granted it is predominantly a seafood restaurant, I never refuse a rack-of-lamb when it sounds good and ordered it here. It was easily up there with the best baby racks-of-lamb I've had. However, the exclamation point was dessert. Upon seeing the rice pudding with coconut, mango, and passion fruit, I had no reason to keep reading... quite possibly one of the best desserts I've had, ever. Service was accomadating and friendly, not too engaging but at the same time always polite and helpful. I wholeheartedly reccomend the food at the Fish Cafe.
Pros: Dessert, View
Cons: none!

My favorite part of dining at Purple is the tasting menu with the matching flights of wine. I visited recently with two friends, and together we tried 20+ dishes and nearly as many glasses of wine. No need to ever order a main course!
Pros: Great tasting menu
