There is something about the smell of Barns & Nobel. I am instantly taken up a notch when I walk into one. Honestly, I don’t care if the smell is a natural side effect of so many books in one place, or if they pump it in artificially. I just hope they never change it. I usually hang out at the Barns & Nobel at the Summit. It’s a great place. I can browse for hours, find something I like, and sit in one of many easy chairs scattered through the walls of books. When I get a little tired, no need to worry, there is a Starbucks located in the store to perk me right up. And on top of that, they serve Cheesecake Factory cheesecake – does it get any better? Yes, yes it does. They have a great outside patio area. The only thing better than sitting and reading in an easy chair is sitting and reading outside on a cool sunny day. Once you get addicted to this place, I recommend investing in one of the $25 membership cards. You can use for anything in the store including the Starbucks items and save on every purchase. Plus they constantly sent you coupons by email which I end up using quite often. more

Of all the book stores I have been to in the U.S. (and that has been a lot, trust me, I am a book nerd who travels a lot), this one has been one of the best. If you tend to get lost in bookstores and need a lot of help finding things, I wouldn't go here, because it's usually crowded and the employees are hard to track down. But if you like to spend hours browsing for the right book, this is the place. They also have a great selection of music and a few movies. more
