Sam Flax Art and Design is a great place for art supplies such as decorative papers and envelopes. They offer many different lines of papers in all colors and price points. They also carry nice scrapbooking paper, stickers and embellishments. The prices are bit high but the selection is great. They carry many other items at this store, including gifts.

I highly recommend the furniture, lighting and rugs that are at The Mission Motif. The furniture is all solid wood with no veneer or particle board and comes in different wood and finishes. The lighting is mostly custom and it true to the period of the Arts and Crafts Movement. The rugs are all 100% wool and handknotted. Great designs such as the Ginkgo and celtic knot.

I redid the lighting for my condo's kitchen entirely from the Lighting Loft. And I could not have asked for a more pleasant shopping experience.
My kitchen is testament to their selection and taste. What it cannot vouch for is the top-notch customer service. I was greeted by a smiling Steve the second I walked into the store. Every visit since proved to be a similarly helpful and fluid experience.

I was referred to C Lighting recently to find a chandelier for my foyer. They designed me a custom fixture -- something I couldn't have found anywhere else. I was really impressed with how knowledgeable the staff was and how affordable the end product was. This place is a gem. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Lots of knowledge

Sheets are sheets, right? Pillows are pillows, and as long as you lie on it or pull it over yourself when you sleep, you're good to go, right?
That's what I thought before I had to help a friend restock his apartment post-college. Luckily, we found Bed Bath & Beyond at Perimeter. In the past, I've been disenchanted with the huge stores like these. Why not save some time and go to Target or Wal-Mart, right? Well, these people do one thing, and they do it right.
Their assistant manager (whose name unfortunately escapes me) deserves some sort of medal. First of all, neither of us knew the size of my friend's bed. I had to describe the shape using my arms as measurements. Then, the assistant manager had to take us through several aisles while we went through what kind of sheets he'd need.
After that, he reminded us that we would probably need mattress liners (yeah, I had no idea you need a liner between your bottom sheet and the mattress, go fig) and even pointed us to the cheaper sheets in case he didn't want to splurge on the larger thread counts (again, I had no idea what the difference was).
Don't waste your time at other BBB's. Stick with this one--it's well worth the trip.
PROS: Informative, helpful staff that assists you in pretty much everything.
CONS: Your face will resemble a deer caught in headlights if you don't get help.

Spending time at Context is a learning experience. The owners, Jeff Shelley and Pui Panich are informed about their collection and carry the most diverse range of products I've seen at any furniture showroom anywhere. In addition, they are well read, have several very interesting books and hard-to-find catalogs around the store and are endlessly enthusiastic about design.
The collection has classics (Wegner), pieces likely to become classics (Grcic, Morrison) and pieces that expand one's design awareness (Dixon). Context carries furniture, lighting, rugs and other items like filing boxes, trashcans, etc.
My wife and I have bought six Grcic stools and a Cappellini sofa from them and have found their prices to be not only competitive, but excellent. It is a pleasant surprise to find modestly priced pieces that one really wants to own, proving that it isn't discounting product, but knowing how to curate for value that counts when selecting inventory for a store.
In addition, Jeff and Pui are wonderful people and I would recommend a visit to the store on that basis alone.
Pros: Information, Books, Knowledgeable Owners

Atlanta has many furniture options. But we love Crate & Barrel at Lenox Square. It's really easy to come up with great ideas when visiting this store. The furniture options, cater to all tastes. And the staff is very helpful, and creative. Whether it's a major purchase, or just a few accessories, to fluff things up, it's right on target.
Pros: Terrific Selections!
Cons: None!
