Top Spot in LA 1/30/2011

I loved this place for its staff' bohnomie, the size and features of the rink, itself, and the freaking-amazing moves of the other skaters. more

Roller Skating 7/16/2010

omg so much fun i can't wait to go back. This time with more friends Pros: A lot of parking more

old school roller skating 5/24/2010

Oh my gosh.. I have not done this in ages. It is so much fun to relive your childhood by roller skating the night away to cheesy music and fun lights. I have to admit that after years on rollerblades it is hard to attack the four wheeled daemons. more

I live there lol 5/6/2010

This place was awesome 12/2/2008

This place was awesome. It was just like when you were a kid. The people that worked there were very friendly. The music was good and the regulars were real nice. I had so much fun! I would definitely go again. Who knows maybe I'll buy my own skates and go all the time. It's good exercise, lot's of cardio but fun! I got all sweaty! I couldn't stop skating. more

what fun!!! 5/2/2008

Fun for the entire family can get a little crowded on the weekends only other complaint is the bathrooms are really dirty. The floor in there is always wet more

Great Fun 4/30/2008

WOW is tons of fun!! I loved it as a kid and my daughter loves it too. We have done private parties twice where you get the whole rink to yourself for two hours. Its the best way for younger kids to skate without the teenagers and speedy trick skaters all over. Their theme nights are nice too, her school has participated in the Gospel skate nights. \r \r The DJ and the music is great. I hear their skate lessons are very reasonable and worth while as well. more

We had fun! 4/29/2008

I took my children here for a birthday party and being relatively new to Los Angeles, I had no idea that it was there.\r \r It was fun for all of us, even though none of us can skate it was cool.\r \r They music was great and the atmosphere overall was awesome! more

The best skating rink in L.A. 8/22/2007

I have been going skating at World On Wheels for over 20 years. Now that I am older and I can attend any session that I want.....its gotten even better. I usually go on Wed. night for the Oldie Session (25 and Older) And IT IS THE BOMB!!!!! I Love this skating Rink. And the floor guards, security, and all the rest of the employees there are so cool and welcoming. No attitudes, just laided back old fashion skating fun! more

The rink is an excellent place to take children on Saturday morning for lessons and then for them to skate afterwards. It's a safe place to keep them off the street to have fun. Parents are able to either skate with their children or sit and watch them skate. Pros: Free lessions w/skate, Good price, Good parking Cons: Bathrooms more

New hipster hangout? 10/24/2005

I went to a private party here, and I must admit, it was fun. The person organizing the party had to bring their own booze and set up a bar, but all in all it was well done. The funny part is that the decor and the skates are left over from the 70s, so be warned that you aren't going to be in the most comfortable skates in the world. No idea how the vibe would be on a night where it is open to the public, but for a private party, it was fun. PROS: Roller skating still fun, who knew? CONS: The place is dirty. And not in the good way. more

Disappointment 9/27/2005

I went here with a group of friends, and we were pretty sketched out by the location and the parking lot. The place is kinda run down and ladies do not get in for free between 8 and 9 anymore. I don't know why it's 21 and over on Tuesday nights, because there is no bar and the concession stand wasn't open either. This is next to, not connected with the bowling alley, and there are no in-and-out privileges at the rink, so once you're there, you're stuck, and if you wanted to bowl, you'd have to pay $8 to get into rink again. Overall, a pretty big disappointment. Pros: Free parking Cons: Run-down, No in-and-out, Unfriendly staff more

Skating Anyone 4/29/2005

World on wheels is a good place to go and have a great time with your peers listen to music and skate. Great for all ages and some days are themed nights like seven to seven, Gospel night etc. The snack bar is ok but I would suggest bringing your own skates rather than renting because those things are older than dirt and don't smell to well . more

Rollerdisco Electro Funk Extravaganza!! 5/13/2002

This place is party girl/party boy paradise! A roller ring & arcade on the first floor; bar and bowling alley on the second. Every 4th Saturday is a sparkly discoball world. DJs Rodi & Dennis (Good Foot!) and Riley More (Shout!) play bluenote, funk and rare grooves while folks get tipsy & rollerskate. Its sooo 1977. You gotta love it. ;) more

This cavernous recreation complex may not have the smoothest rink in town, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a more fun, friendly place for strapping on a pair of skates....
