Victoria Travel

We used Victoria Travel at the Travel Authority for our England and Scotland trip. Loved the hotels and all of the suggestions for touring. They have moved from Erie Avenue to Mariemont, still in Cincinnati more

First of all their office hasn't been updated since the Reagan administration and that should have been our first clue to walk right back out the door. We were planning a trip to South America and she pulled out a guidebook dated 1997. Eventually they put together some sort of itinerary and provided a quote. We attempted to contact them for several weeks via email and phone to confirm the booking and to put down a down payment. They completely ghosted us and eventually just cancelled our booking with no explanation. I guess we should have tried to send a telegraph since that seems to be more their pace technology wise. more

We attempted to book a trip with them and had nothing but terrible service the entire time. We met with them once to discuss our plans for our trip and never heard from them again. We attempted multiple times to call and email and got zero response from the company. After several weeks of attempting to contact them, they email us saying they can't handle our booking with no explanation as to why. Very disorganized office and the only information they could provide about our trip was read straight off of a brochure they had sitting in their office. Not informative or helpful at all. If you are looking to book a trip pick any other travel agent. You would have better luck doing everything on your own, than work with this company. more

My husband and I have been using Victoria Travel for about 7 years. Each time that we visit this agency they are welcoming and more than willing to work to find us the best deal. They have planned trips to Europe for us, cruises, and most recently a trip out West. One particular instance that shows how wonderful this agency is really stands out in my mind. We had a fairly strict budget in mind for a trip to Arizona and Nevada, and I was worried that it would not be able to work. Carolann quoted us a price on a rental car, but then realized that the car rental company was not really giving her the best price. We had already paid for the trip in full, but the extra car cost would make the trip nearly impossible for us to afford. Carolann called a competitor car company and got us a rental car for almost $1000 less than what was originally quoted. She confirmed the change within 24 hours, refunded our card the difference in cost, and the trip went off without a hitch. This company is one that is based in customer service. They appreciate your business and they love travel. I would not go anywhere else for my travel needs. more

My husband and I decided on last minute cruise. Victoria Travel person was knowledgable and helpful, saved us money on shore excursions too. more

I have no doubt the owner knows the travel industry and parts of the world that are great, but her customer service is terrible at best. I have sent emails and seldom get a response. The office is a mess, which I guess is suppose to make me think they are really good or busy. They are almost too busy would be my guess and I agree with the other comment about the owner knowing so much she is arrogant about it. I would recommend you use someone that will at least treat you like you're paying them! My best recommendation for the business is to hire a customer relations/reception person who does nothing but reply to emails and phone calls and gets answers for customers. I do not mind being told you'll get back with me, but I expect it within 24 hours. I am the customer here!!!! I'll never use them again. more

It was tough even getting anyone to call us back.So we walked in and stood there for 5 minutes before anyone even said hello. They just gave us a few brochures and didn't ask a lot about what we were looking for. very disappointing because I had heard that they had been in business for years. more

I agree with the other reviewers. This agency is awful and the owner cares more about how much commission she makes than what's best for her clients. Instead of making us feel welcome and appreciated they acted arrogant and patronizing. We will never give them our business. more

If you are planning a honeymoon or any trip for that matter I highly suggest you find a different travel agency. My fiance and I are getting married on June 7th and our biggest headache and disappointment has been Victoria Travel. I went to bridal show and was told by the ladies at the Victoria Travel booth that if you book your trip with them you will automatically be enrolled in the Bridal Registry program. I was very interested b/c my fiance and I already live together and don't need the household items most newly married couple receive. We set up an appointment in February over 4 months prior to our wedding. Everything was great until one month later Victoria Travel called saying we owe the entire balance of our honeymoon that day, which was roughly $8,000!! We were outraged! We received no phone calls prior to this. We paid it seeing that we did not want our trip to be canceled but Mary Ann Wiggins, our travel agent assured us that they would continue taking our guest donations as wedding gift to us. The only registry I put on my invitation was to Victoria Travel so you can imagine how upset I was when 3 weeks before my wedding they called my fiance to say that they will no longer accept donations! They are telling are guests that the honeymoon is already paid for, yes it is to them but I still have a $8,000 dollar credit card bill to pay for!! I believe no bride should go through what I have and hope that this prevents you all from booking a vacation with Victoria travel. more

I wasn't very impressed with Victoria travel agency located in Hyde Park. You would think that in the age of the internet when deals are pretty easy to come by online, agents would go out of their way to help and find you someting unique. This was not really the case here. I had to give the agent all kinds of information, which he should have been asking me for in the first place to do a better search. He called me the next day and the deals were just average, I ended up finding something better through an online outlet with the same resort. more
