Welcome to the hood! Travel with job and always felt uneasy leaving my wife home alone. Apartment above us broke into night before we moved. Does anyone stay here more than 1 year l? Nope\r Rip you off when you move out. Nice location place is AWFUl!!!! more

Terrible experience with the leasing office. Unprofessional!!! Very unorganized!! Dishonest!\r \r The corporate office should consider replacing Tiffany Queener and Betty Upshaw those two woman are very dishonest.. I believe working in customer service being unprofessional is not good customer service. The residents are the reason this community stays active. SO TREAT THE RESIDENTS WITH RESPECT!! I can not wait for my lease to be up if these two people are still within this community I will not re sign my lease. After speaking with several different residents they feel the same way and I'm sure residents will and need to start voicing their opinions. PLEASE RESEARCH BEFORE SIGNING A LEASE AT THIS COMPLEX. This experience with the apartment started off as pleasant. However, it has become a complete nightmare. This place of residence is a scam. Upon merely looking at apartments on April 5th, we were told that if we moved in by April 8th, we could receive the move-in special which was one month of free rent. We were told this by two associates in the leasing office. Being locked into a lease until May 31st, we eagerly signed the lease to obtain the special. Moving in was a breeze, however when the month of May hit, we received a letter about late rent. We called the leasing office to inform them that we had the special for one month of free rent, meaning our payment wasn't due until June. Now everyone in the office is acting as if we made the special up (although they are running the same special on their website currently) and decided to move in within three days of just looking at the apartment. Plus if our lease was not up until May 31st, why would we move into an apartment on April 8th to pay twice during the month of May? We emailed the office and they provided little help. We were informed that we had to click a button on the application page to receive the special? A button really?? No one informed us of a button to select when we filled out the application. When we went to have a face to face meeting in the leasing office, we were told to contact corporate. When asked if they could provide us with the corporate number, the lady stated that she did not have corporate's number. What???? How do you work for a company and not have corporate's number? How can you provide exceptional customer service and not have the bare essentials such as a number ""YOU"" are directing me to call for assistance? We are still receiving letters notifying us of eviction proceedings if we do not pay May's rent. When I call the corporate number, it sends you straight to voicemail. What type of corporation is this? I refuse to pay money because I was flat out LIED to and no one in the office seems to want or know how to assist. Conveniently our leasing agent is no longer with the company! This has been the worst experience, I have ever encountered in my life. I have to take time away from work to make phone calls and send emails to correct this issue. If you are thinking about moving here, think twice. They will lie to you to collect their commission and throw you under the bus once you've moved in more

Good... Except Staff/Policy! 3/1/2012

The Peak at Vinings Mountain is full of ups and downs. Parking: It should be fine, but they've just instituted a $5/mo parking fee for hangtags to fix not having enough spots to park (which I've never had a problem with). As far as I'm concerned, they are adding a charge of $5/mo calling it a parking fee for them to, basically, do nothing different. On top of that, they claim that residents asked for it and it's something we want... seems unlikely to me. Noise: Walls are a bit thin and I can often hear my upstairs neighbors talking loudly. Grounds: Most of the grounds are very nice. But there are areas in the woods that are filled with trash. I have asked the management to fix this twice (once in a phone message, once in an email) and have never heard back and it has not been remedied. Saftey: The area feels very safe. Construction: The construction is pretty good but there are parts of my apartment that have some paint spatters; the doorframe to the patio is banged up, the carpet is coming up a bit in 1 corner of the bedroom. Maintenance: The maintenance guys are great. I really like dealing with them. Staff: I have had very bad experiences with the staff. The apartment has archaic policies regarding late payments ($150 if you are late 1-4 days, $400 if you are late more then 4 days and they start a process to evict you). They don't care how many years you've payed on time without missing a single payment. They claim they will call you back when you leave a message, I have never had this happen. About a year ago they claimed they were said they were going to stop sending out bills to ""go green"". At this point they didnt sent out bills, email reminders, or anything. To me, this was just a trap to try and get people to be late on their rent payments more. I feel as though the AIMCO people are deceitful. Now, to be clear, I don't blame the individuals who are at the front desk but rather the AIMCO policy makers. Overall: The apartment and area is pretty nice, but I can't abide by their anti-resident behavior when it comes to anything monetary. The policies here basically treat residents like criminals. I cannot recommend any AIMCO properties to anyone. more

I BEG YOU...PLEASE DON'T MOVE HERE!! 10/31/2011

The maintenance men are great, the leasing staff, the fellow residents are friendly but the property manager, Tracy is rude, unhelpful and will lie to your face. To make this quick, let me just say that you WILL be charged ""cleaning fees"" when you move out. If they can't get you for the carpet they will charge you for something else! The best advice I can give is keep all receipts and other documents and take pictures of EVERYTHING...and I mean everything..down to the closets, cabinets and balcony because they will try and stick it to you anyway they can! more

Don't Live Here 7/20/2011

The apartments are nice and the neighbors are friendly, but the management staff is terrible. April is nuce, but Tracy is rude, non-responsive and will hang up on you. We've lived here for two years and moved out of our apartment to a bigger apartment in the complex. When we moved out, they kept our security deposit and sent us a bill for damages to the carpet and cleaning charges. They supposedly had to replace part of the carpet because it had a spot. We disputed it since we left the place very clean and had the carpets shampooed when we left. We were told they would send us pictures. We then started getting notices from a collection company. Keep in mind, we still live here. When we called, we were told the computer had crashed and that had no pictures and that we needed to deal with the collections company. more

AVOID the Woods! 2/11/2007

There's not enough time or space to list out all the problems with this community. Don't bother calling the office. Chances are nobody will answer the phone and they don't respond to messages. When I have a problem, I have to physically go into the office to report it. Even when I do that, 75% of the time, it goes without being repaired. I once had water coming through my ceiling from the apartment above. I reported it and they never came to check on it. I've had a hole in my ceiling from that for about 9 months now. The construction crew knocked a hole in my wall from the outside. I reported that 2 weeks ago and I still have a fist-size hole, now stuffed with newspaper.\r \r There are insects here that I've never seen before and LOTS of them. They can't get rid of the ants in my bathrooms and we have a resident rodent in the walls. Supposedly pest control comes once a month, but I work from home and I haven't had them come in my apartment at all.\r \r When I moved in 1 1/2 years ago, I made a list (a long one) of things that needed to be repaired in the apartment. Not a SINGLE one of them has ever been fixed. I'm beginning to wonder if they even have maintenance people on staff!\r \r I can't wait till my lease is up (3 months and 12 days!!!) so I can get the heck OUT. Pros: I'm gonna have to get back to you on this one...... Cons: Poor Management, Bad Customer Service, NO Maintenance more

This is absolutely THE WORST apartment I have EVER lived in (and I have now lived in 6 different apartments)!!!! The amount of insects of every type I find EVERY DAY is absolutely ridiculous!!! Not just insects, HUGE SPIDERS, centipedes, silver fish, water insects...etc. Everything in the apartment that has just been ""redone"" was done cutting every corner possible. Everything leaks and molds again within a day or two. The management and staff are THE rudest, unknowledgeable, and least helpful people I've ever dealt with. This management will try to take you for all the money you have and not think twice about it. NEVER just talk to these people, MAKE THEM commit and put everything in writing, if not, YOU WILL BE SCREWED!!! I am a good tenant, have never been late on my rent, never any complaints about us, and now they will not work with me at all!!!!!!! PLEASE listen when I say DO NOT LIVE HERE!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!! Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Cons: ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING more
