Getting in trouble with the law is the biggest hassle, especially when you're short on cash like I am. I had other court issues to deal with, and I was already spending a lot of time and money trying to come up with a reasonable custody agreement. It looked very bad, and I knew my ex's lawyer would use it against me to prove that I wasn't a fit father. The DUI arrest was just ridiculous. I wasn't even drunk and there wasn't an even an accident. How much was my peace of mind worth? What's the point of paying discount fees and not winning my case? So I had them represent me for my DUI case and I'm happy to say it was the right decision. They handled everything and made sure I didn't incriminate myself. They got the charges overturned and with a clear conscience and record, I had no problems proving that I deserved joint custody of my kids. I would definitely say they are worth every penny. Good: Nothing. Bad: They ripped me off. Improvements: I'd like a refund since my lawyer did more harm than good.. Other: Do not under any circumstances retain any attorney with the Spiegel Law Group. My "Spiegel attorney" was Ryan Tegnelia. He lied by omission; he did not tell me I would be fined $2,000 on top of his $1,500 in attorney's fees. I did tell him money was an issue--I would never have retained him if I'd known about the fine. Also, Tegnelia never bothered to mention that I could do community service to work off half of my $2,000 fine! I'm not sure he even knew that. He also postponed my hearing twice so I incurr. more
