HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SNOW BROTHERS IN LYNDHURST OHIO.\r We purchased a stove, refrigerator and dishwasher from Snow Brothers In lyndhurst ohio. When the appliances were delivered the wrong refrigerator was delivered. We had to wait another week for the correct refrigerator. Our old refridgerator was not functional so we were with out a refridgerator for a week. 11 months later when we went to use the self cleaning oven, we discovered that we also had the wrong stove. There was no self cleaning oven. The stove we ordered had a self cleaning oven. We contacted the store immediately and asked that this be corrected . We were told because of the time element they would not take the stove back nor would they give is the correct Stove. Since the salesman that sold the appliances was no longer employed there,we talked with someone named Sharon who was supposedly one of the owners. She was one of the most rudest ,disrespectful people I have ever talked to. Several times she told me she would call me back and she never did. I had to keep calling her back. She repeatedly yelled at me and spoke to me like I was a child. The last time I spoke with her she was supposed to call me back with a resolution and again she never called back. I finally decided I was not going to put up being treated so rudely anymore. I went to Home Depot and bought the stove that I was supposed to get from Snow Brothers for $100 less then what I had paid At Snow Brothers. I got my new stove from Home Depot within three days and when it was delivered the delivery person installed an anti-tip bar on the stove which is something Snow Brothers never did. The delivery person also set the clock for us,went over all the features with us and made sure we understood everything before they left. I donated the stove from Snow Brothers to Habitat For Humanity. \r \r DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SNOW BROTHERS IN LYNDHURST OHIO EVER. \r \r I HAVE REPORTED SNOW BROTHERS TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. more

Great Experience 11/18/2011

After having heard many good things about Snow Brothers, it was time for us to shop for our new kitchen appliances. Hands down, in all the years of shopping for large ticket items, I believe we have found one of the best well informed staff and truly kind well intentioned group of people. more

A Great Experience 7/31/2011

After reading some of the reviews for this company, I'll admit I was a little apprehensive about shopping there. The negative reviews couldn't be further from the truth. We were renovating our home and Snow Bros had the best selection and display of products of anyone in town. Their sales staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The products we needed were in stock and delivered as promised. To suggest a ""big box"" store in comparison is ludicrous The pricing was fair and the customer service was fantastic, I'd recommend them to anyone. No wonder they have been in business for over eighty years. more

Beware of Snow Brothers:The Owner is a Bully 3/25/2011

One might as well buy over the internet because Snow Brothers does not help when the purchased item has a problem and under warranty. Snow Brothers will even charge you to have the defective appliance installed and the defective one removed. The owner will cross his arms, stare you down and intimidate you to make you go away. I had purchased all our appliances from them over 13 years and he still treated me as if their motto is ""Buyer Beware."" Once you buy from them you are on your own with any product issues. I try to shop local but I would not recommend shopping at Snow Brothers after my encounter with the owner. more

Helpful, friendly, and a good deal 2/3/2011

Snow Brothers is a great family business and it?s owners and staff are all committed to excellent customer service. They go out of their way to ensure that you?re not just buying a product that works, but a product is the best deal for the best price with the best rebates that more than meets your needs (while staying in budget) to ensure your satisfaction. Delivery staff are capable and courteous. They are all very knowledgeable and provide information that helps make you make the best purchase possible so you're not buying/paying for features you wouldn't use. I have every confidence in shopping with them now and in the future. more

How are they still in business..? 8/2/2010

We shopped at Snow Brothers 5528 Mayfield Road, Mayfield (Cleveland) Ohio. We purchased a new house with no appliances so we did all shopping at Snow Brothers. We bought refrigerator, cooktop, double oven, microwave and cooktop vent from these guys totaling close to $17,000 so you would think they would do a great job. Sales process was great - they explained everything to us, followed up promptly, etc... All the good things stopped once we wrote that check in their name. Without going into all the details, they were not worth it. Once we paid, we were told certain things were on back order with no expected date of arrival - shouldn't they have said that when we paid? I cannot live without a cooktop indefinitely - I can adjust but I should at least know when it will arrive... We had to change our order to get other brands so we can have our appliances sooner. I wasted a lot of time researching items that were not available in the first place. They dont have anything in stock, it takes a couple days to a couple weeks to get the appliances shipped to their location from the warehouse, then they deliver to your house - nobody called to tell us if they got the shipment; I had to call them every couple of days to see if certain pieces have arrived. At one point it turned out that the double oven had been in their warehouse for a week and we were not called (when we were buying, we were promised a call as soon as they receive an item so we can schedule a delivery asap). I also had to call in and ASK for items to be delivered... The sales rep tried to schedule a deliver 2 weeks out ? after I gave him a piece of my mind ? he ?pulled some stings? and scheduled it within 48 hours. Absurd? Pros: they carry higher end appliances Cons: customer service is non-existent more

After spending $13,662, owner accused me of being a liar! 6/7/2010

WARNING: NEVER SHOP AT SNOW BROS FOR APPLIANCES. We spent $13,662 on 8 appliances delivered to two houses. Rick (sales) was helpful and scheduled the deliveries the same day. It was awful from then on. One delivery man complained non-stop for hours - didn't like moving appliances up and down stairs in old houses or delivering to two houses. When they were removing and installing the washer and dryer at our house, they had to remove the old dryers (we had 2) from the basement. I emptied the clothes out of one dryer when they asked me to go up stairs to remove a door jam to get the appliances in and out easier. They said they'd take the clothes out of the 2nd dryer and put them in the laundry basket. (BIG MISTAKE TRUSTING THEM.) After installing 8 appliances, complaining this was the hardest install they ever had and now have to work late to get the other deliveries done - I actually felt bad for them. I bought them some cold drinks and tipped them $120 for the trouble. (ANOTHER BIG MISTAKE.) After they left, this is what I discovered: 1) A refrigerator with a dent on the front of the freezer door, 2) a freezer that shouldn't - frosts up, 3) a washer that wouldn't even start, and 4) over $400 worth of new mens dress shirts, jeans and pants were missing. Once I returned home to see the dent on the fridge door panel and called Snow Bros. They ordered a replacement panel. The following day we realized the clothes were missing. Called Snow Bros again. They said they'd call back. Nothing. We called again and again and were bounced between the store and their warehouse (where the old dryer was taken) - each saying we had to talk to the other. When nothing happen, we called Rick who told us there were no clothes in the old dryer. Well, what can I say - the clothes were there when the dryer was taken, the old dryer was still in their warehouse, so if the clothes weren't in the dryer, who took them? No response. We go to use the new washer. It wouldn't come on. We called Snow Bros again. A week later, a repairman tells us the entire control panel was damaged in shipping. He orders a new panel and installs it a week later. About this same time, we notice frost build up in the freezer (same one that's dented.) We call Snow Bros yet again to be told, ""Your freezer door panel is in, but the gasket wasn't installed properly. It takes a few days to get a new gasket, so we'll call you back in a day or so and come fix both items."" Two weeks later, still nothing. But the worst happened was today. I called and asked to talk to the owner. Susan comes on the phone. I explained all that has happened. I wasn't unpleasant or rude, but firm in my frustration with them. I asked if she could do anything about the hassle we'd been put through, the still damaged fridge and our lost clothes. At a minimum, I thought she'd apologize, agree to talk to her delivery guys about complaining to customers and the warehouse for not getting us our clothes, and check on the status of my fridge repair. INSTEAD, THE OWNER STARTED YELLING AT ME, REPEATEDLY ACCUSE ME OF LYING, SAY SHE'S GOING TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL - ALL THE PROBLEMS WERE OUR FAULT - NOT HERS. I couldn't believe it. Go anywhere else but Snow Bros. Pros: Nice Sales Person Cons: Everything else - terrible more

Buyer Beware! Never buy anything from Snow Brothers!!!! 4/2/2010

We have spent nearly $5000 on appliances from Snow Brothers including a dishwasher, refrigerator and cooktop. My family has spent nearly $10000 there as well on kitchen appliances. Pros: There are no pros...I would rate them 0 stars if I could! Cons: Horrendous customer service and an owner that could care les more

Always pleased with Snow Bros. 3/27/2010

I have purchased 7 different major appliances over the 25 years since I moved back to Cleveland, all from Snow Bros. My parents and grandparents before me also dealt with Snow. I have always had excellent customer service from their salespeople and delivery people. None of the issues others have reported. I find their prices to be competitive. Their salespeople have never pressured me into purchasing features I don't need. As a matter of fact, I will need a new refrigerator soon and have every intention of buying it at Snow. Pros: Great service more

Great Prices & Customer Service 3/17/2010

I just bought a new washer and dryer and the sale may have been the easiest ever. The salesman was far from pushy, gave me great information on the products and different brands and was able to deliver everything within 48 hours. To top it off delivery was free, the old units were hauled away and they did not charge me to hook up anything. They even included the washer hoses and gas connector for the dryer and they were cheaper then the big box stores. Pros: Locally owned, great service, no hidden charges more

Really bad customer srvice 7/22/2009

I bought a washer from Snow Bros., scheduling it on a day when I could be home for delivery until 4:30. The evening prior to delivery a msg. was left, advising it would be between 2-5. I called on delivery day and was advised ""we will try to meet your request"" and that I had been placed last on the schedule (for convenience of the drivers.) At 3:30 I was advised it would be at 4:30. I received an annoyed, grudging apology, and no one acknowledged or seemed to care about my inconvenience. They don't seem to ""get it"" that they are in business to provide good service. more

RUN 3/30/2009

I moved to Cleveland about 2 weeks ago and purchased over $10,000.00 of high end appliances over the phone from Snow Bros. so I could have appliances delivered to the home i bought on the day movers delivered my things from Texas. Pros: Nothing Cons: Business practices and customer service more

Horrible Customer Service; Would never go back 2/21/2007

We ordered a Marvel wine cooler and cook top from Snow Brothers. We sat infront of the Marvel wine cooler with the salesman and told him we wanted that cooler with white trim. When the cooler arrived it was white on the inside with white coated wire racks and clear glass, not black with stainless steel racks and amber glass. When we contacted Snow Brothers owner the first word out of her mouth was she was not taking it back. She then proceeded to tell us we should have known that the white trim would mean white interior and then told us we were ignorant consumers. Can you believe that! I would never go there again and am spreading the word as much as possible. No customer service at all....and from the owner. Hope they go out of business. Cons: No customer service! more

Horrendous customer service. 7/27/2006

I bought $10,000.00 worth of appliances here. My six week old Maytag refrigerator has four things wrong with it. The repairman came out to fix the ice maker and now instead of making big gigantic chunks of ice it does nothing. Snow Bros refuses to take the refrigerator back. I explained that I am not interested in keeping this refrigerator since Maytag says that to fix my problem with freezing lemons I should store them in the fruit compartment in Ziploc frozen bags. I heard a bad recommendation from someone else about Snow Bros and I disregarded it, I should have paid more attention. William Kent of Snow Bros says that they never take appliances back or else they would have a warehouse full of bad appliances. I said that I wish they would have told me that before I bought. Go to Home Depot or Lowes. Snow Bros was not interested in my concerns once they had my money. They local store spiel is all an act. more
