Color me not impressed 8/4/2005

It is located right on El Camino Real and it's sometimes hard to find parking. I have been there a few times, but have never bought anything. I buy used at Goodwill and Little Cousins, but if I didn't think they had great stuff and the things I liked weren't good values. It's small and it's two story, but I felt claustrophobic going upstairs. more

  • A unique line of One of a Kind Wearable Art for Children and Moms, with the environment in mind.
12 years ago I opened Ricochet, a children, and maternity consignment store in San Mateo, with in mind of recycling gently worn clothes. From there I got insired and took garments apart, and gave it a new look. I have always had a creative mind, and was always making things from findings, but I felt I lacked technique. So I decided to sign up for the Fashion Program at Canada College, where I graduated; first in costume design, then in fashion design.
For about two years I created and designed costumes for several community theatres. Still not having found my real niche, I tried to combine a little of both, and came up with One of a Kind Wearable Art for Children, with a European flair.
I decided to participate in a couple of fashion shows and a few fairs with some of my own designs, where the response was beyond my own expectation, so I decided to continue with it- With still t he environment, and green in mind, I have decided to continue designing clothes by using recycled/vintage materials. My inspiration comes from taking garments apart set them on the table and let my mind flow into a new creation.
