looks can be deceiving 6/11/2006

Once you get in this place, and find a seat, don't let the appearance fool you. Nothing aesthetic has been done to the place probably since it opened, but what you're going to do there is eat, so as long as the utensils are clean, who cares. It's not that the place looks that drab or old, but it's very simple. All of their dishes are priced great, the biggest deals being the soup and noodle dishes. But if you're adventurous, try something like their traditional family style salmon, served over rice with a sweet caramel glaze. And wash it all down with a jasmine limeade. more

Best Vietnamese Food Yet 3/18/2006

I've been to every Pho Pasteur location except for one and they all continue suprise me with the great quality of their food. They offer a unique selection of options on the menu and everything is very affordable. The service isn't super-friendly, but it is definitely fast. The food portions are also very large, so bring your appetite or a doggy bag! more

The best Vietnamese restaurant 2/13/2006

Their food is soooo good... Many kinds of noodle soups at an inexpensive price!!! You might be tempted to simply order noodle soups, but try other entrees too such as Watercress dish and beef dish. They were very good and I as glad they did. So afterwards, I tried lots of other entrees and all the entrees that I tried were all good. For noodle soups, they've got 2 sizes, small and large. A small bowl of noodle soup (which is still a lot) is only around $4 and a large one around $5-6... Yes, their food is cheap but very good. Their service was pretty good too. Friendly atmosphere and servers more

Great Vietnamese Food 10/7/2005

If you like Vietnamese food, you should try this place. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Big variety on menu. They have won various awards. The entrées are very reasonably priced. more

Best beef pho in town! 9/8/2005

For $5.50, you can get the super size beef soup noodles that tastes 10 times better than the super sized burger meal from McDonalds. Their soup base is very tasty. The beef is thinly sliced. *drool*. Seating is never a problem and food gets ready fast. The spring rolls are freshly made. A great place to get a nice meal without spending fortune. Music is not loud, can chat with friends without any problems. more

Good Vietnamese Food 8/19/2005

This food is really delicious and not really expensive. I suppose if you got some grandiose entree it might end up costing you a bit, but the regular every day items are really cheap. The soup I get is 3 dollars, and the noodle soup is like 4. That's an entire meal for seven dollars. I also have never had anything I did not like here. Deliciouso! more

good food! 8/5/2005

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Boston that serve Vietnamese foods. Don't go to any of the Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown because this one has a more experienced staff since its been in Boston longer. Therefore it has better service. Plus, its much roomier than any other restaurant. It received several rewards for being the best in Boston (for a certain type of food). If you go here, just order any type of pho and you're all set. The waiters are bilingual or trilingual so in case you have a certain language barrier, they are more than happy to help you out with your menu. You can speak Vietnamese, Chinese, or English and still order. The waiters will always comprehend what you are saying. This place is good! Go eat here. more
