Perhaps I don't really eat Chinese enough to know what I am talking about, but my one experience at this restaurant was very good. Everything that we tried was good, and we all traded plates and shared. The short ribs I almost took off with myself, they were so good. We ended up ordering another bowl of them...The service was very good as well, very attentive and helpful to those of us that did not know how or what to order.

for a friend and it was quite an experience. Good, of course. We split all that we ate, and fought over a few things, too.

I must warn you, however, this is not a place that you can even dream about wearing anything less than a suit or nice dress to. That said, be prepared to have your breath taken away upon entering and not get it back until a day later. The decor is over the top (for most), but that is part of the experience. The waitstaff is what you can call white glove and they are VERY attentive (perhaps too attentive for some). This is the kind of dreamy atmosphere that many women dream of the man getting down on one knee and popping a ring out at, and you may just see that while here, along with many other celebrations of life. just make sure your credit card is at a zero balance, since this kind of opulence comes at a price.

This restaurant offers everything from coastal seafood dishes to southern and northern styles. I've had my fair share of Indian food, it being pretty much my favorite style. I've tried the food in many different Indian restaurants. The consistency of the masalas and curries is a bit more creamy than most, but the combination of the different spices is perfect. The food was fabulous and our waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating. His service was extremely prompt, and each new course arrived just as we concluded the previous course. Any person fond of or interested in Indian cuisine should give this restaurant a try. Go for the full meal rather than the a la carte option. This comes with soup, dessert, and tea or coffee above and beyond the rice and main dish for only $2 more. A great deal and the soups especially are fantastic.

Rialto is located in the Charles Hotel in Cambridge. Rialto aims for higher in both price and cuisine and hits both targets. The bar is a pleasant area and you can either wait for your friends or eat. On our visit there were several patrons eating dinner and others enjoying cocktails. The dining area is comfortable and the tables are not crammed together. We received a great table where half of us could overlook the square.
While we waited for all of our party to arrive we sat for drinks in the bar area. They do not have any beers on tap but the bottle selection was pretty extensive. On the way to our table I passed the dessert station and chatted with the dessert chefs for a couple of minutes. I had a chance to ask the chef what their favorite dish was they both mentioned the hot chocolate cake (see below).
The waiter was extremely attentive, asked for drink orders and described the addition and substitution to the menu. He told us the chef was fortunate to find some fresh striped bass and decided to substitute that fish for a sable fish on the menu. She obviously wants to serve the freshest fish she could find and had no problem changing the menu for the day.
Appetizers range in the teens in price and you should expect between $30 and $40 for entrees. The reviews state that the chef mixes fresh New England ingredients with her Tuscan training and I was interested to see how this would play out. She did great. For an appetizer I chose the Risotto with mushroom and marscapone (mmm). The risotto was perfectly cooked, the mushrooms were a nice touch and the marscapone brought the whole dish together. Down side was the size...very small.
Dessert was a smash. I went with the recommendation of the chocolate cake. It wasoutstanding, an individual cake filled with a nice warm chocolate filling. The price of appetizer, entree, dessert and a glass of wine will probably cost at least $80 per person.

The restaurant has a small cocktail bar off to the side and a sushi bar near the entrance. Inside there are 6 grilling tables and a few regular tables along the side wall. At the back there is a larger room with 2 more grilling tables that can be used for functions. (On Friday night, this room is often used for regular dining.)
Hibachi also has a decent sushi menu which has a few vegetarian options. The sushi is good, but not great. There are a number of appetizer options. Meal portions are quite large, so an appetizer is not necessary. If you opt for one get the tempura vegetables. Your dinner will include onion soup, a small salad with ginger sauce, 3 appetizer shrimp (not on the menu), grilled vegetables, white rice (fried rice is extra), sprouts and then your main choice of meats. Some of the options include chicken, steak, scallops, lobster, squid, shrimp (or any combo). You also get 2 dipping sauces. A sweet ginger sauce for chicken/fish/vegetables and a spicy mustard for beef. If you pay the $1.50 extra for fried rice, they will cook it on the grill as well. The fresh, chewy texture with just the right seasonings is superb. The sweet and tangy flavor of the ginger dressing on the dinner salad is very refreshing. Tea is free with dinner if you ask. There is also a vegetable dinner option for vegetarians. If you are bothered by your dinner being cooked on the grill with meats, they will cook it in the kitchen for you.
Your meal is cooked at the table in front of you! The center of the table is a metal grill and the seating area wraps around the edges of the cooking surface, so you have a great view as the chef cooks. While he prepares your meal, the chef performs. He'll tap the salt and pepper shakers rhythmically on the table as he seasons the meal and spins the spatulas around in the air. It is the sounds as much as sights that entertain you. Families bring their children and usually are mesmerized by the show. He does great tricks like flipping shrimp tails into his pocket or lighting an onion volcano on fire. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff is friendly. It is basically a large, well lit open room. Dinner can be expensive, costing around $15 per person without appetizers, drinks, or dessert. Lunch at Hibachi is a great deal at around $8 per person. On week nights there is little wait time for a table. Friday and Saturday the wait can be upwards of 20 minutes.

I am vegetarian, so having a decent selection of veggie food ( salads don't count.) is important to me. New Mother India delivers quite well.
I tend to order the Shahi Paneer-- it's little cubes of paneer (a simple cheese) in a thick, spicy, reddish-brown sauce with a few veggies and cashews. It's aromatic, wholesome, and filling. You can order it spicy, but I find it pleasantly flavorful without. This is mostly habit, though. When I order other things, they're never a disappointment.
Their breads, the usual naan, are light and tasty. I recommend the garlic naan. A sweet lassi will make for a pleasing counterpoint to the spice of the meal. The New Mother India lassi is never too thick or yogurty-- they're always perfectly mixed.
Finally, I round off the evening with the Indian milk tea. It's a slightly spicy tea made with milk and it goes well with the Shahi Paneer.
The service is good, and the food isn't terribly expensive. I'd probably eat there even if it was, it's just good.

The Barone family has reincarnated their neighborhood pizzeria as a cheery trattoria serving northern and southern Italian fare, with Argentine barbeque offered on the weekends. The reasonably priced menu includes bruschetta, pasta carbonara, pesto tortellini, chicken marsala, and grilled pork chops. The wine list covers all the bases (with all this we had a Chianti that worked very well with the flavors of the meal). This is not a place where appearances are very important, but if you want good food, a place that works for friends or family and a convenient location – try Carlo’s.

The food is excellent, the meatballs are hearty and big. The dining is sit down. It is lively and comfortable with it's many rooms. They also rent function rooms for any occasion. Many children and families have been going there for years (there is a child's menu consisting of grilled cheese, hamburgers, sandwiches and such). No smoking at the table, but they allow it in the lounge where .
