Took in my puppy to be fixed and it died. When I asked whether pretesting was done - I was told that people in this neighborhood can't afford it. Very insulting - would have at least liked the option. This experience was heartbreaking, please go to a vet that has the technology and skills required in this century. more

I had one dog for aproximately 8 years before I took in another dog who desperately need a home. One day they had quite an altercation and the big one bit the little one on the ear. When I got home from work, I could tell the ear was quite infected. My vet was open that night but I was told that they were fully booked and the only thing I could do was bring my little guy in and leave him all night. They would look at him the next day. (He would have been miserable all night and I guess I would have had to pay for the overnight accomodations) I called Parma Animal Hospital and they told me to bring him in. I was so happy they agreed to see him and was extremely impressed with the care they gave him that I decided to change vets. Last year, my big guy had a heart problem. The vet was completely honest with me that this was bad but they did everything they could to help him. My precious big guy passed away at home in my arms. I have been going to the Parma Animal Hospital for a long time. Have I heard about instances that didnt work out for some patients? Sure. What doctors office doesnt have some unsatisfied patients? Personally, I am very happy with the vets and staff there. I have been taking my pets there for almost 25 yrs now and went as recently as this morning when my beagle developed some intenstinal infection. They have always treated me and my animals with respect and care. If I thought they werent capable or if my faith in them ever dwindled then I would cease going there but in 25 yrs I am happy with the services they have provided me. more

My dog recently had surgery here for gingivitis. I had taken him to the vet about his teeth and they told me he had at least one tooth that needed to be pulled and teeth cleaning probably wouldn't hurt. Money is tight so of course I was fishing for the cost of this and I was quoted 180- 250 bucks. Kind of a large price range if you ask me. when I went back the day of my dogs appointment the doctor just came in the room and took the dog and told me to come back in a few hours to check on him. I was VERY unsatisfied with the way I was treated. He told me not a thing that was going to be going on and I had to hurry questions to him as he was walking out the door like he didn't even want to give me the time of day and he told me. "We'll explain everything after it's all been done." I was tempted to tell him maybe my wallet doesn't agree! I only knew that he was having one tooth pulled... he said he couldn't tell me anything else until he got my dog in for surgery and could see what was goi more

Recently, my cat needed to get in to see the vet on very short notice. I didn't have a regular vet at the time, because I never really found an office or a vet I really liked. I frantically went through the phone book and the web trying to find a vet that would see him in the next few days, either in the evening or on Saturday. Of course, I was hard-pressed to find a vet that stays late or on weekends that was not booked for a month! So I found Parma Animal Hospital, and they got him in that evening! I found out that he was very sick, and had to schedule another emergency appointment for him to be put down shortly after-they took him in a couple of HOURS! The girls that work in the office sheduling appointments are exceptional, and now I have a regular vet who I really like! Now I am recommending this facility and Dr. Wittlinger to every pet owner I know! Thank you so much for your compassion and great service!
