Best

This is the only place I go see my movies, it's big, beautiful, love the crowds, I've been coming here for a few years, and honestly, watch one film here and you'll see. Pros: ...

Worst

Although these theatres are fancy with plush seats they have made an embarressment of their employees. They force them to wear overdone costumes with hats that only an organ grind...

A better mall than HollyVine 5/29/2002

The staff wear bellhop caps. The seats are quite comfortable. The ticketing lines weren't short, but moved satisfyingly brisly. The Grove mall is pleasing in a California-Disney way, and the theater is adjacent to Barnes and Noble. Did I mention parking was $1 with the electronic approval of the merchant? Given a choice between the HollyVine complex and The Grove, I'll be taking in my summer blockbusters at The Grove. more

State-of-the-art 5/20/2002

What a great place to see a movie! The sound is crisp and the stadium seats are plush. The whole place just feels big and new, but not new in a plasticky, annoying way. New in an "instant classic" way. more

Nice new theater 5/19/2002

The sound and visuals have been great the times I have been here. At least now when everything here is new and shiny it's really nice. The 1940's look is neat; I wonder if it will keep up as the theater gets older. They have quite a bit of staff, usually short lines if any, the surrounding open air mall is about as nice as malls can be. Parking is easy. Being a bit taller than average (6'2") I don't care too much for the stadium seating thing; but most people really like it. more

Sweet! 5/19/2002

I love the loge section of theater. For 2 bucks more per ticket, you can get seated first in a mezzanine section. While seated, you can order your snacks and they'll bring it to you. All this in a soft cushy leatherette seats. It make going to the movies a lot more enjoyable. Let me just say, i didn't have to wait in line for Star Wars: Episode II on a saturday, the opening weekend. more

Fantastic Theater/Great Seating 5/16/2002

The Grove Theaters just opened up. They are all stadium seating with plenty of space for everybody, even people on crutches or in wheelchairs. The lobby is huge with uniformed staff, clearly trying to echo the 1940s movie palaces. The Farm, a restaurant/coffee shop, is connected and adjacent so that you can eat on your way to and from a show. The Beverly Center/Connection Theaters will get pretty quiet from now on. more

  • The Scene
After a day amid the hustle and bustle of the Grove's urban shopping village, this art deco-inspired movie palace is a perfect respite. The 14-screen complex pays tribute to the grand theaters of early Los Angeles with a lobby that resembles a four-star hotel and white-gloved ushers outfitted in bellhop attire.

    The Draw
This theater has plenty of style, but it doesn't sacrifice the modern amenities moviegoers demand. All theaters feature panoramic, curved screens, cutting-edge sound systems and spacious stadium seating. Lines are usually manageable because of the many ticket-selling kiosks located throughout the mall.
