I have shopped @ Other Mother's for years. \r I love their new location on Montgomery/San Mateo.\r Huge store and lots and lots to see and buy. I love the\r new Trendy Trades (upscale clothing @ reasonable prices).\r Right now they are having a huge sale......50% off all childrens, maternity and women's clothing and toys.\r 25% off Trendy Trades.......I purchased items for myself,\r my expectant daughter and my son.\r \r Thank you Other Mothers! more

This store has nothing to offer unless you want bad service, rude people that go through your things because they think you are stealing from them and rip off prices. Do yourself a favor go to Goodwill. At least someone good profits from your purchases. more

it is a SECOND HAND STORE. a lot of people can not afford exactly brand new clothes and other mothers offer reasonable prices and good condition clothing etc. try selling your things on craigslist or something if you're trying to make money. to some people, that store credit is a life saver when shopping for clothes; not everyone can afford it these days. it's amazing how many grown adults blog and bag on the simplest things. lol more

I have had the same experience as all of you!! Rude employees, poor trade in prices, lost items ect. Isnt there something that we can do??? Complain to the BBB or something???? This has to be stopped! They cant get away with scamming us anymore! The Other Mothers on Cutler is owned by the mother and the daughter owns the west side store. The daughter at the west side store has even talked bad about her own moms store when i stated that i was going to take my items to cutler because they were running really behind on trade ins. I have had multipule bad experiences with poor customer service and I spoke to the owner of the west side about a particular employee that I constantly get an attitude with and she told me ""thats the way she is, shes from Louisianna and has a strong personality, if you dont like it, dont shop here or come back""I cant believe this is how they run their business. I hope these rude unprofessional scam artists go out of business soon. If we could all make a formal complaint to the BBB or something else, maybe they will!! more

First off let me by saying is that the store isnt that bad i go there 2-3 times a week i take my daughters stuff and their name brand items and almost new their always fair with me, i dont complain about it because other people may need it more and its a second hand store come on now kids grow out of their clothes fast get over it you can try to sell your stuff on craigslist and make your own prices, the new location is awesome its alot more organized. The employees are always helpful and nice. more

I used to take my daughter's old clothes to Other Mothers and they are nothing but ripoffs. My daughter has nice, name brand clothes and they don't give you anything. And now they have changed their policy where they only give store credit for bags of clothes, instead of cash like they used to. I do not want to shop there, never have, and never will. I do not need store credit. I feel like I have been taken for my clothes and will NEVER go back there again. For everyone reading this, DO NOT take your clothes or anything else to them. They suck!!! more

Wow! I was just about to take 6 bags of clothes to this place and a play pen but after reading all of this negative feedback I dnt think i want to anymore! Im sure I would get scammed and stolen from too... Are there any other places where I could really take the stuff to sell? more

When I arrived I asked about trading a very nice bassinet and selling a bag of baby clothes. The lady whom I spoke to responded ?We obviously don?t do trade in here, we do them next door didn?t you read the sign?? Considering there were a plethora of signs all over the door and I had my children with me I considered the response incredibly rude and inconsiderate. So I took the bassinet back out of the store and loaded it back into my vehicle assuming I didn?t want the same treatment next door. When I arrived next door I waited for about 20 minutes until I could get some help at which time the lady told me that she would give me less than 10 dollars for the bassinet and asked that I leave my bag of clothes at the store because they wouldn?t have time for the them to sift through the clothes until Monday. I refused the price on the bassinet and figured it would be better to simply give it to someone in need and I asked her for a receipt for the article of clothing. She rudely stated that they didn?t give out receipts and to just leave the bag there or leave. Can anyone say, thieves? I will never go back to Other Mothers again because considering their business ethics, ?Other? is clearly descriptive of everything ?other? than good business and hospitality. more

I agree with every post on this website. I have gone 4 times & finally learned my lesson. They took a bag full of boys clothes for five dollars. They rather take my walmart brands than Crazy 8, 77 Kids, Sperry & Reef sandals..I'm assuming they don't know what these brands are! I too, had to dig through piles & bags of clothing. Not to mention they ""lost"" the rest of my stuff TWICE. You are better off getting good deals across the street at Old Navy & Carters. Very rude on top if it all. more

these people just stole my clothes! they said that they would call me in an hour and let me know what they would give me. they never called, so I called them.\r $18 for a huge bag of really nice maternity clothes. not to mention, they've already donated what they didn't want to some charity so I don't even get the write off! I can't believe they are still in business!\r on a sidenote - when I took my stuff in, there was a little boy (with his mother watching!) urinating on the side of the building. seriously? what a nasty place run by rude people. more

Everytime I go in to EITHER location I'm treated as an interruption, excuse me but isn't the point of being in business to cater to your customers? Like danielle88 I am unenthusiastic about this place, makes me want to open my own store! (Which I AM thinking about - in Rio Rancho....)\r \r When I went to look for a high chair I refused to actually put my son in any of them as it looked like the store employees had let their children use them and hadn't bothered to clean them, EVER!\r \r Wait until I open up my own store, until then shop the clearance racks at Target/Walmart etc..! Don't waste your time here. more

This place is one hot mess! The NE location is horrible. The workers are so rude! It's always over crowed. It seem like they never find the bottom of the huge piles of clothing over-flowing the tiny store. For as much crap they have in there you would think they'd get a bigger store or better employess that can actually keep up. The last time I was in there, I dropped of 4 bages of name brand clothes ( wait time was 3 hrs) and when I returned they only offered me $35!!!! They just asume they know what the clothes are worth. They dont even look them up. This place is a scam.Its a waist of time. Full of people who dont even speak English!!!! more

I dropped off some clothes (2 large boxes) to sell for my sister-in-law. When I came back 3 hours later to pick up my cash & leftovers, they handed me $5 without even telling me what they selected from the items (poor form I think!) and told me to go look for my bags of leftovers that were thrown into a mountain in the dressing rooms. Then, they acted put-out that I asked them to help me search for my bags. BIG waste of my time. They were just rude in general. more

I agree with the first review. I couldn't believe how unprofessional the workers were. They were not interested in helping or answering any questions I had. I felt like I was totally bothering them. They had loud personal conversations that were completely innappropriate - and were completely indifferent to the fact that customers were standing in the checkout line having to hear their cussing, loud laughing, and carrying on. It's unfortunate. The ONLY reason I will go back is for the great selection of baby clothes and the prices. Pros: selection, exchange program,location Cons: terrible customer service more

Do NOT go to the w.side location. These woman have the worst attitudes when talking with customers. They have no problem treating you like you are impossing on them. I think they purposely hire the rudest woman they can find because not 1 had a pleasant attitude. I will NEVER do business with them again. Pros: awful attitudes more

They have a good range of kids clothes; sizes, brands, selection. They have everything from baby furniture & toys to jeans & dresses. A must check out!!!! Pros: good selection Cons: limited parking more
