great bacon and pancakes 8/15/2005

I had some really yummy bacon. Hard to describe, but it was good like you get at Cracker Barrel. Why can't I make it like that at home? Also had two pancakes. These pancakes were huge! Size of a 10 inch or so plate. I also had the sausage, but I was not very impressed with that. Orange juice was fresh squeezed and tasted pretty good. I was less impressed with there Famous OP potatoes, but they were still good. This is an older establishment- expect things to not be ultra modern or super clean. more

What a place!! 8/14/2005

This is the place to come for omelettes, if that's what you like!! They have the best build-your-own style omelettes. And have many ingrediates to choose from. I recommend getting there early or you will have a long wait. It gets very crowded on the weekends, so my best advice is get it TO GO. Unless you want to spend 30 min or more waiting for a table. more

Wonderful food, whimsical atmosphere. 7/26/2005

The Omelette Parlor has really great food, and offers a breakfast as well as a lunch menu. It's hard to choose between their specialty omelettes and specialty sandwiches, so we just order one of each and then share. Alcohol is served here, and the Bloody Mary's are excellent. The restaurant is a converted home of a movie star from the early 1900's, and is very whimsical. They close mid-afternoon, then the back half of the restaurant opens for the rest of the day - it is a bar that serves great burgers and sandwiches. The Omeletter Parlor has pretty reasonable prices and the food is prepared fresh and made with the best ingredients. Don't forget to grab a lollipop from the basket on your way out the door........ more
