*EDIT* Specialty Sports has a new location now, which is SO MUCH better than the old one! There is finally room to move about and browse!
Specialty Sports has an awesome selection of firearms and hunting gear. If you're looking for something specific, this is the place you want to go. If I were going to rate them on selection alone, they'd get 5 stars.
However... I have problems with their location. It seems like any time you go, they are crowded... not surprisingly, as there seem to be very few stores of this type around here. But there's just not enough room inside of the store to accommodate all the people! It seems like you are always in someone's way, or they are in your's.
The employees there are all very friendly and knowledgeable... but sometimes you have to wait awhile to get assistance, because the store is so busy.
Also, I have a lot of trouble trying to reach them by phone. Most of the time when I call, I'm taken to their voice mail box, which is always full :/
It's a nice store, and my husband and will continue to go there, but I know I would be happier if they could move to a better location.

King Pin -- Love that this is a no-smoking bowling alley! We went during the day here and it wasn't crowded at all -- we got set up and started to play right away. Prices were very reasonable and the food/snacks we got were yummy and priced inexpensively in comparison to what you sometimes have to pay to feed a family out on the town. This is a new place and seems very clean although you may have to put up with some construction dust (only on the way to the alley, not once you're bowling) while they finish their other areas.

This park is home to a 181 foot waterfall that is goes down in seven distinct steps (hence the name). There are stairs that take you up to the top of the falls. You can then take a hike along one of the two trails. One is a mile long and the other is 1/2 mile. At night they light up the falls with colored lights. It is so beautiful, I proposed to my wife at the top of the falls (no joke).

Michael Garman is a local artist who does unique sculptures of 1940's-era working class folks. His lifelike subjects have the most amazing facial features and his work is truly one-of-a-kind. Of particular interest are his "diner scenes" which show all kinds of motley folks hanging out at the local food counter.
But, what you must check out while you are the gallery is the Magic Town int he back. for a small fee, you will enter a world unlike any that you have seen. It is a complete miniature 1940's cityscape with talking holograms and all kinds of surprises. Kids and adult will enjoy--I think it brings out the voyeur in all of us as we peek in windows to get a better look at what lies within.

My friends and I always go here on Wednesday for $1 bowling and the staff knows us all! We always have a great time and the prices are great! The jukebox on the other hand needs to be corrected with the right music (you put in the money for a certain song and you end up with something else). The food selection is ok. Overall this is a nice mellow hangout.

I love that they have batting cages and video games. I go here with some of my friends just to get away from everyday living. The prices are ok. The food is so so. Just like any other golf/game place. They even have bumper cars as well. The service is good and I love the variety. Great place to take the kids as well. Fun to be had indoors and out.

Up you go, winding around and around. Just don't look down if you are afraid of heights! This winding, part dirt, part paved road will take you from the base of Pike's Peak all the way up to its 14,000 summit. You won't see better views anywhere. Be prepared for a temperature drop when you arrive at the top. I was there in a snowstorm last July. The views from the top are jaw-dropping, and well worth the trip. Make sure you have enough gas in your tank, for their is no place to stop and fuel up along the route.
At the top is a gift shop complete with the prerequisite sweatshirts and tee shirts and a surprisingly good cafe. get a cup of hot chocolate for the walk outside. On the way down, prepare to stop and have your brakes checked by the crew there. They will do a quick check and tell you if your car is safe to make the rest of the trip down the mountain. (as an alternative to driving, you can also take the railway up--or HIKE)

The prices you just can't beat. If you can, let me know where. LOL I spend time at all the crafting stores in my area so I love em all but I spend more time at Hobby Lobby than anywhere else. I can get stuff for scrapbooking, beading, painting, home decor, holliday stuff, fabric, gifts, and stuff you had no idea you needed. LOL

Great place to go if the weather is cold. All the great features of a water park inside. Wave pool, lazy river, water slides. Your child needs to be a certain height to do the slides, unfortunately my child was not tall enough. Oh well at least we could do the lazy river and the wave pool.

More
This is a recreated, indoor ghost town that you kids will love and you might even enjoy yourself. At the very least, it's a great rainy day option when the kids are climbing the walls. There are recreated shops including a general store, jail, blacksmith, post office and saloon. Many of the exhibits are hands-on and touching is encouraged.
Yes, it's commercialism at its best (or worst) but let;s face it--the kids love that kind of thing, that's what makes it so popular. And if they can gain some historical insights while you are popping a quarter here and there for this or that, then so much the better!
