Yesterday we noticed little Piglet, our daughter's Chiahuahua, had some tearing out of her one eye and then we looked it up on the INTERNET and we came to the conclusion that it was a "cherry eye." A call to this veterinary hospital that had been referred by one of her instructors at college .. pretty much confirmed that is what it was as well. She made an appointment to see her this morning and that diagnoses was exactly what it is. We took her to Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital. When we walked into this place, it was like walking into the lobby of a 5 star hotel. We were greeted by a very nice receptionist that took all the information immediately. As you walked in, there was a gas log fire place burning .. high ceilings, tiled floors that sparkled. There were oak cabinets and hutches and a counters that contained a variety of pet products including food. On an "island" was a coffee pot set up for customers with STARBUCKS COFFEE and a tray of cookies. Next to that was a candy container with candy kisses.
When we went back to see the doctor .. the exam room was very clean. Throughout the entire center, you could NOT smell anything. It was SUPER, SUPER clean. Besides being a "doctor" and a "hospital" they also board animals. The larger dogs were kept in a separate area and had a big heavy door that they kept closed to keep down the barking noise but it had a window so one could see into that area. The operating room looked cleaner than most hospitals.
They provide not only emergency treatments, but suregery, dental care, nutritional counseling, boarding and daycare and grooming services.
The two technicans and the doctor were all very friendly and very thorough in letting us know our options and their recommendations.
For now we went with treating it with an antibiotic/steriod ointment that she will have to put on the eye for 21 days. At least, this is the first step and we hope it will be all it takes. Being a small breed dog, it's not uncommon for this to happen.
I highly recommend Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital.

My kids adore this place. It is great to get them exhausted & worn out! Parents are even able to get up and slide with their kids! It is 5 bucks for kids 2 and over. My kids love doing this on rainy days. I feel like I definitly get my 5 dollars worth! We will continue to go there on the gloomy days so they don;t have all that pent up energy!!

I love that they have batting cages and video games. I go here with some of my friends just to get away from everyday living. The prices are ok. The food is so so. Just like any other golf/game place. They even have bumper cars as well. The service is good and I love the variety. Great place to take the kids as well. Fun to be had indoors and out.

It is easy to find and has plenty of parking. I went in nervous because it was my first tattoo. When I walked in I was greeted by some very friendly people. They make you feel very welcome and very comfortable. The pricing was reasonable. I went to an artist named Ward. He is very good at what he does and is very tedious about the look and coloring of the tattoo. He gave me a card and it had a myspace address on it with a portfolio. The address was myspace.com/jackjumpermachines. He took the time to make sure everything was correct before he let me leave. I would suggest this for anyone that would like a tattoo that doesn't know where to go. A++ tattooist's.

This is the perfect place to have a special picture taken of your kids. They have all kinds of props and backgrounds and do a fantastic job at getting your kids to smile (even when they dont want to). We have been going there for almost 4 years and have had no complaints. I would recommend Jen to take your pictures (she is the one who has a daughter). She is awesome and has a talent for this profession, when you go ask for her, you will not be disappointed!!

We have been taking our 2 dogs there for 1 year plus.
They are a beagle mix male 6-7 years old
and a Carin terrier/female 3-1/3 years old.
The dogs KNOW where they are going on grooming day. They cannot get in the car fast enough.
They are so happy there and are treated so kindly.
The staff is very nice.
the place is very clean, smells clean!!
They can DO any kind of cut you want and do it totally to perfection.
For my 2 dogs it cost $75.00 and that is with a tip.
At that price they get a bath and cut and a pretty new scarf for their neck according to the holiday or season...
Wouldn't go anywhere else ever..
Ciao,
CeaCea

Are you having appliance problems? I was and I called Bill's. After having some washer issues I called and explained what was going on. They were able to tell me how to fix it over the phone! I had no charge & the problem was solved! I highly recommend them because other appliance services did not give me any helpful info after explaining my issue!

More
I have to write about this really great place to board your dog. How I found this is my daughter is a volunteer for Pals for Life Animal Rescue. They called her to see if she could pick up this little dog from a vet and take him to the Doggie Dude Ranch. So, "Mom" has to go take her because she doesn't know here way around Colorado Springs yet. So, we go clear over by this really nice are, The Broadmoor area, pick up this "little dog" -- NOT -- she was told it was a little dog, a puppy. Well, SARGE turned out to be a big ole 13 month old BOXER. We drove clear over to the opposite end of town, eight miles out into the country to be exact, to the Colorado Doggie Dude Ranch. It is located just off of Hwy 94 and Curtis Road. We took Sarge into the building, walking very carefully over snow, melting snow, mude, ice and rocks to get to the front door. I don't know about anyone else, but whenever I've been with my daughter in MD and even in FL to a vet's office or a boarding kennel, they really had a horrible odor to them. I was expecting that here. But it was odor free. The dogs that were there seemed very content, barked at SARGE, of course but everything was so clean. Infact, before we left, I told her that I thought it was the cleanest one I'd ever been in one and that it smelled nicer even than most nursing homes. She thanked me and said she worked hard to keep it that way. I asked what her fee was and she said if it is just a one night drop off, $17. plus change; and if for a week, $16 or less depending. She also not only boards over night, weekends, weeks and months at a time, but she also does a "doggy daycare" where people drop their beloved pet off on their way to work and stop to pick them up on the way home. It works out great for both. For an over nighter or a long stay one, a free bath comes with the service. She only takes a few because she said she does it mostly alone and she wants to devote her time to just a few as she also has 5 dogs of her own. She didn't like the big warehouse type; too big and too much work. What was also interesting, she loves to scrap book and she has an area right there in the same room where she can set up tables and have others come in and CROP with her. I highly recommend this "dude ranch" to anyone needing this service.
