Not bad at all! I work for a national coffee chain and I have to say that it could make the competition run for it's money... on some days. But like any other coffee house the service isn't that consistent. The prices are ok and the selection is just right. I like having snacks around too. Wonderful little place.

This deli is great. Some things are a little high, but not overly. A large selection of meats and cheeses, German chocolates and pickles and such. The Brotchens are wonderful, a lot of stores in town carry these Brotchens, but here they are fresh. And the pretzel Brotchens are delicious. The have a few other kinds of breads too. They always have ready made salads and cakes too. Believe me, if you have ever been to Germany, you will love the food and the memories here. Guten appetit :-)

If they do not have a product you are looking for, they will offer alternatives ~ from ordering your item personally or referring you to another vendor if your need is immediate. Their product selection is great and their location is very easy to access.

I would suggest taking the tour here at Patsy's Candy Shop (its free so why not). A suggestion would be to call ahead, as we had alot of people in front of us on a Tuesday morning. Could have been a fluke, but we had to split people up and have 2 tours instead of one. They give out free samples and let you watch while they make toffee or mint chocolate.
Another suggestion would be to go in smaller groups that way you can hear what is being said about the different machines and the way the make the candy.
Overall it was a nice tour.

When we lived in Maryland, I did go to Dunkin Donuts, not for the coffee but for donuts for the office. I knew where all of them were. When we moved Okeechobee, FL, there was Dunkin Dounts but shortly after I went there, they changed and it was a local donut shop. They were ok and even the coffee was "ok" but to me it just wasn't the same. Then we moved to Colorado Springs, CO and I've never even looked for one. I know I've see one but I couldn't tell you where it is. I like "my" coffee .. I should say "the way I make it" better than drinking it out anywhere. Seems that Starbuks are really popular here.

I've been to several of the Pikes Perk coffe shops around the city, and each one is just as good as the last !
If you really are going just for coffee, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
They offer flavors of the day, and lots of different options on any given day.
Then there is of course all the popular espresso, caps, and frap drinks.
They have a wide variety of tea, and cold drinks as well. I had a strawberry smoothie there the other day that was really good !!
Each Pikes Perk I've visited has the best atmosphere.
Light music in the background. Tables with chairs, also sofas and big soft chairs. Board games available to play, newspapers to read, books to read even ! They also offer hook up's for your laptop computer for those that just can't tear themswelves away.
Overall a great experience each time ! :)

Actually, I really do like about 3 grocery stores but Safeway is my favorite. I prefer their meats as they seem to have a better taste to them. I also like the friendly staff at the ones that I have gone to here in Colorado. Another thing that I like is that they do have a membership card that you get 3 to 10 cents off on gasoline after purchasing a certain amount of groceries and it has really been a godsend when the cost of gasoline has been so expensive. Their produce always is so nice and fresh. They have a great deli too. And, for an added convenience, they do have a pharmacy as well.

My husband and I were out this morning and while we were out, we noticed that gasoline was going back UP. As we were in the vicinity of a Safeway that has had a 10 cents a gallon off for several weeks now, I figured we'd check them out. On our way there, the least expensive we saw was 2.09 and 2.11. When we got to Safeway, it was 2.12 .. and I did get the 10 cents off, making it $2.02. Another friend told us that she bought her Honey Suckle turkey the night before at Safeway .. she got a 22 lb. turkey for $7.99. So, we went there and I got a 19.53 lb. one for $7.99. On the tag is said $1.18 a lb .. $22.+ .. so I saved a bundle on that "bird." Not sure if all Safeway's are doing this, but my sister in Denver said they were $5.99 at her Safeway. And she also noticed a sign that after November 26th, Safeway will no longer be allowed to sell their gasoline for less than the 3 cents per gallon off by using their card. Bummers. So, if any of you in Colorado have a Safeway Card .. be sure to use up your gasoline points by the 26th.
