great bacon and pancakes

I had some really yummy bacon. Hard to describe, but it was good like you get at Cracker Barrel. Why can't I make it like that at home? Also had two pancakes. These pancakes were huge! Size of a 10 inch or so plate. I also had the sausage, but I was not very impressed with that. Orange juice was fresh squeezed and tasted pretty good. I was less impressed with there Famous OP potatoes, but they were still good. This is an older establishment- expect things to not be ultra modern or super clean.
