Awesome food. 4/5/2006

I loved the Pink Ginger in Las Vegas. It was inside of the Flamingo Hilton hotel on the strip. They had a large menu that had a variety of items on it. It had sushi and sashimi, pad Thai, Korean short ribs, and a variety of Pan-Asian dishes. We ordered a variety of dishes and ate them family style. We had gyoza, chicken satay with peanut butter glaze, ginger beef, and duck salad, and sashimi. We also had a few glasses of plum wine. All of the food was delicious. The plum wine was some of the best I have ever had. It was deep red and really sweet. more

I loved this hotel. 4/3/2006

We stayed at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas for the price and because of the good reviews. It is a great value, it is in a great location on the strip and not as pricey as the hotels around it. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. Rooms large and comfortable. We ended up having two rooms, a regular room and a mini suite. Both sides of the hotel had fantastic views. The suite had a great view of fountains...romantic! The regular room had a view of the grounds which were very pretty. They had flamingos and penguins which were really cute. I had a very good experience with this hotel and will book a room at this hotel when we go back. more

Nice Hotel, Great Location! 3/22/2006

I regularly stay at the Flamingo. Have chosen this hotel for years over others, but I have also tried a couple other places on the Strip. By far, this is my favorite. First, it's just a nice hotel - nice rooms, lots of amenities, fabulous pool, etc. Second, the view is extraordinary if you can get one facing the Strip. Most importantly, location. It's right across from Caesar's, has a tram right out back and you can easily get to Bellagio, Bally's, etc. In sum, this is the greatest hotel - highly recommend - never had a bad experience! more

Fun hotel in the middle of it all! 10/1/2005

We stayed at the Flamingo this past August and really enjoyed it. We had a great rate on our room, which was clean and well kept. not fancy but definitely adequate for our needs. The casino was great--not smoky at all, and really large. The slots paid out ok, and during the day you could find 5 dollar blackjack tables. They have a wonderful pool area and a nature area with penguins and flamingos. The restaurants were great and reasonably priced. We will definitely stay there again! more

Flamingo 8/13/2005

The Flamingo Las Vegas is a nice place to stay; nothing flashy, just clean, comfortable and affordable. The casino leaves a lot to be desired, but the rooms are nice, the location is excellent, and the pool is one of the best in Vegas. Location You can't beat it. You are in the dead center of the Strip, with Ceasar's Palace, Bellagio, Bally's Harrah's, and Paris close by. If location is a major concern and you don't want to pay big bucks for a decent hotel, you'll be very happy here. Parking Typical large Las Vegas parking garage around back. Could use some renovations; most parking garages do, but this one seems a little more grimey than others. Check-in The line was long, but it moved along quickly as there were many clerks available at the front desk. They were very accommodating in granting our request for a renovated room. Rooms Here's the trick to staying here. ALWAYS ask for a renovated room. From my understanding, they are much nicer and it doesn't cost anything extra. I didn't get a look inside the older rooms, but the carpet and hideous wall paper down the hallway was enough for me to know I was glad I landed a renovated room. Anyway, it's actually a renovated wing. New carpet, wall paper, and room signs, all done in a subdued tropical theme with mostly earth tones, all very well done. Our room was a loooooooooong walk from the elevators, but no biggie. Our room was nicely appointed with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Decor was very simple and subdued, with a nice floor to ceiling wall to wall window overlooking the pool area below. The real treat though was the bed, which must have been the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on at a hotel. We slept like babies! The bathroom was a shower only with no tub, vanity and mirror. About average size. Pool Ooh la-la! If a nice pool is important to you, this is the place! A nice tropical theme with palm trees towering above, wandering pools and lots of little water slides. Live Flamingos can be seen nearby. Water is a bit on the cold side, though. Food A wide variety of options, and they have a reasonable buffet. Nothing to write home about, but you definitely won't go hungry here. Service Good. The Flamingo is an enormous hotel, but there are plenty of employees to meet your needs. Another plus is that the elevators are fast. I don't think I ever waited longer then 10 seconds to catch one. The Bottom Line The Flamingo caters to those looking for a nice clean hotel with decent amenities, so if you're looking for some teenage busboy to follow you around polishing your shoes at every step, stay elsewhere. The clientele consists of the young and old, middle and upper class of many different races. If you want a nice hotel in a good location but don't want to pay Bellagio prices, this may be for you. more
